I've been seeing a lot of those videos lately and was wondering where the trend came from! It's awesome that you started something that people felt pulled to. It's unfortunate that some are basically plagiarizing your words, but your quality and authenticity can't be faked. Pages like yours are what inspire me to keep making videos! I wish you the best on your journey!!!!!
@kamillahrae10 ай бұрын
Thanks Ari! I think it’s hard to say anything is plagiarized on KZbin, but it is an interesting experience to live through😅 it definitely pushes me to think of how I can stand out, and it always comes back to just being myself😊

So we also got inspired by your video but we changed the title a bit and the entirety of the video itself is a completely different documentary style. It’s important for creators/artists to get inspo but put it in your own style. Otherwise you will be seen as unoriginal and just someone who copies other creators straight up. It’s honestly pretty disrespectful but with the whole trending thing happening over the years, copying directly has become more of the norm ironically lol However it doesn’t sit right with us and we love and respect your unique creativity!

Hii! Just came here to say that I am one of the people who recreated your KZbin journey video! I credited you right at the start, didn't know if I should include a link to your channel or not (?) but I can still totally do that, just wasn't sure of the etiquette! Listen, your video last year literally inspired me to take KZbin seriously. The end of the year came, my channel was a year old and I thought "well what do I got to show for it?" Then I rewatched your video and it made me reasses the whole year in a different light. I wanted to celebrate my "KZbin birthday" and also provide some insight into what it's like to start showing up on KZbin whilst being someone who does not communicate with people irl that well and then the video came to be! I'm really grateful to you for sharing your story and perspective because without your video idk if I would've restarted KZbin again! And I've been genuinely following along with your channel ever since. That being said you definitely started a super cool trend and that's something that nobody else can say. I do find it weird that so many people didn't credit you, when your video was obviously one of a kind. Best of luck with your KZbin channel! ♥️
@kamillahrae10 ай бұрын
Wow so cool to hear how much inspo you got! Congrats on restarting your channel and your KZbin anniversary! Thanks for crediting me in your video. No need to link, though I try to link to others videos a lot in my videos. I’m not sure that’s standard though, just something I like doing😊
@Leada1ne10 ай бұрын
Yeah, I saw your video as well (after) it's so weird to see, not in a bad way, creators give credit specifically to creators that inspired there journey... it's inspiring to all us "Small Creators" 🤗

I knew you were the first! I saw your video first and loved it, then soon started getting recommended other youtubers posting the same video, similar thumbnail, title and everything! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery--and seriously yours was the best because you felt the most genuine! I think you're doing really great and I'm happy to be your subscriber :)

Loved this video! I've been a silent viewer for a while but I had to leave a comment because this video resonated with me so much. I blew up on TikTok because of my study advice content but I just don't resonate with it as much anymore (graduating soon!) , it takes a toll on your mental health knowing an audience may only tune in for one thing. Like you as you are isn't 'enough' and you have to certain content. I'm glad you were able to start this conversation bc it's such an important one. I really wish people would realise how many downsides there are to going viral. Keep up the great videos Kamillah

You definitely are the first "How KZbin changed my life" video that I saw. Now I roll my eyes every time I see one on my homepage LOL. But do understand exactly how you feel. Going "viral" is a blessing and a curse. It's super important to see each video as having its own audience. Sometimes a video will appeal to a lot of people who subscribe, but it's also okay if it doesn't. I try to focus on making sure I'm improving with every video so that the next viral one is better than the last. That's what truly matters.

I can totally relate with you, sometimes as a creator, your are torn between choosing to make contents just for the viability of views or for the sake of what you are really passionate about , I'm currently at a point where, I've decided that the views aren't going to be my major focus, rather , I'll stick to the marathon of building a well rounded community by putting out what I truly enjoy. You're doing amazing!
@kamillahrae10 ай бұрын
I love how you put it “running a marathon” it seems like a difficult choice in the moment between views and authentic content, but when you zoom out the choice is obvious

I thought I was crazy because I was constantly seeing different versions of that video! I love that you don't want to become a KZbinr who just gives us ways to grow. But, you put out a video you were pulled to, it paid off... & you remain authentic and want growth that feels good to you. Love it.

I resonate SO MUCH with feeling forced to make a certain type of video and yes, I did the same type of internal refocus to what I actually want to film. I want this to be fun (and I love creating my content) so sticking with what feels right, or pivoting if I want to change direction, has been a great boundary setting practice for me. I did find your channel from that viral video, but I like all your videos because it's fun for me to see your daily adventures. Whatever you post I'll watch because if all I watched was KZbin "how-to's" I'd get so bored. Thank you for your art, thank you for adding your input to the collective internet experience 💜

Really feels like chilling in your room together and just talking and doing a nice little self-care routine while we're talking! Love this! AND: I also made a video that was inspired by what you did. We all watch movies, KZbin, Instagram and find inspiration there, if we are creators ourselves. BUT I really liked how you pointed out that videos, that are inspired by your work, but do not copy your work, add something to the conversation. As we all have our own views on this topic. Your video actually showed up on my home page when it was first released. I did like your idea and shortly after it blew up, I noticed a lot of identical videos. I recreated it by doing "How YT changed my life through personal growth..." cuz I liked how it was a video idea that called for reflection. But I did notice when others made their own, they used your title verbatim. Like down to the parenthesis lol. I had a comment point out that even your thumbnail was practically copied which I hadn't noticed at first. I mentioned in my video that I was annoyed people were copying you instead of trying to put their own spin to it. Like you said, taking inspiration is one thing, trying to recreate something to be virtually identical is just disrespectful to a fellow creator. Keep up the great work!

@Leada1ne10 ай бұрын
@kamillahrae You're right, and all the KZbin "Gurus" tell new creators to pick a niche to grow fast but that advice is so misleading because, they're already giving ppl the idea to "Get Views" "Get Paid"... it helps the person giving the advice because they're already established and been doing this 10+ yrs but hurts the creator that's getting the advice. I've been arguing this point with Roberto Blake for yrs 🤣

Hi Kamillah! Just a humble advice but if you would not like to be the type of youtube advice/documenting youtube growth type of channel it would probably be best to stop doing these videos altogether even if the views decrease for awhile. This is not the first update on your blow up you have done, and those are the videos that perform the best. I think what it is doing is just further pushing you into the niche tbh
