I just bought one yesterday they have a pretty good Black Friday sale on their store plus a bunch of the games. The double dragon edition is $500 plus $50 shipping and some great Psyko shooters are on sale. Can’t wait to play as Double Dragon is a favorite of mine.

One area you did not cover in this update, is how well has the system held up after 6 months of use? Are the joysticks and buttons still performing well? What about the monitor and the built-in speakers? Is the fit & finish of the actual cabinet and stand holding up and not falling apart? These are things many of us are curious about.

I've got one since the Kickstarter. Holds up very well. I've even jostled the entire cabinet (unwillingly) with the joystick XD... and it held very well... I should be less violent.

Hadn't heard of this Retro Mania Rumble game but something interesting is all those wrestlers are real, quite a few currently active wrestlers considering the retro nature of this game. Not sure if they have agreements in place to use their likenesses though, most of them I can understand wanting to be part of it but "Johnny Retro" is currently signed with WWE who are pretty strict on that kind of thing, although guys like Cardona or Myers (and until a few weeks ago Dreamer) were with Impact but they're not as strict as WWE on this kind of thing and don't see why being in this game would be a problem

There are two deal killers for me, regarding iiRcade. One, (stupid, I know), the shape reminds me of the 911 console I worked at, back in the 80s, and 90s, and two, the lack of a spinner, and or trackball. They've kind of locked them selves out of a huge chunk of the arcade, and indie gaming department. Don't get me wrong, I was impressed when they started offering Dragon's Lair, and others like it. Very tempting. At least iiRcade doesn't pay wall accessing their servers. It looks like you just find a game, buy, and download it, and you're done. Thanks for sharing.

Is iircade the best arcade machine to get right now that offers a digital marketplace where you can have a bunch of games on one unit? I love this idea. Is this the same unit that has swappable panels like where the buttons and sticks are to accommodate games that need a different setup entirely?

You might be thinking of Legends Ultimate Arcade from AtGames. That one has lots of different inputs (joysticks with buttons, spinners, and a trackball).

Imo pixel perfect looks horrid, it would only look good on old school low res CRT screens to my eyes. Scanlines FTW if on modern LCD but only if the scanlines are done properly, you show the 2xHorizontal scanlines for Elevator which imo looks terrible for that game, hopefully there's a scanline option that looks good for Elevator. For my Arcade I went through the arduous process of going through all my games and checking their resolutions to setup perfect scanlines with Mame HLSL, I think I have approx 15-20 different scanline sets for my 32" LCD TV in my Arcade at res 1366x768. If I change to a 1080p screen then I will need to adjust the scanline sets.

Great system (although don't waste your money on Dead Effect 2, some functions necessary for successful gameplay are nonfunctional ie. inability to apply health kits, you just die over and over and over no matter how many you have in inventory lol), but I will say be careful with the control deck, even though the graphics are laminated, the laminate scratches very easily.
