Concerning the 50/50 chances in Landmarks, wouldn't you be able to voluntarily make the players guess another space (beside the want where you want to go) so that the next space you'd try to make them guess would have 2 words linked to it (instead of one) ? I'm wondering if that's the strategy the designers intended
