2020: You don't need someone to "complete" you. Save your finances or learn how to invest in stocks. There is no shame by visiting a therapist, mental health is just as important as physical. Books... Lot's of books (thanks Lana) Get yourself a schedule, eat, study, work, sleep.. Get into a rhythm. But don't overwork yourself. Last point: There is the you that you view, others view and your friends view, learn how to be proud of the way you view yourself. Anyone who reads this is simply amazing. What I've learned: Why should I care about what that random person that I met back in high school thinks of my social media posts? Why should I care about what that random cashier at my grocery store thinks of how I look today? This year took away many of the things I took for granted, like hugging a loved one, sitting in a movie theatre, or simply smiling at a stranger when walking down the street. However, the silver lining is that it has made those moments so much more meaningful when I finally get to do them again. 2020: it's been the best year for me in ages, because I finally started to break away from my depression. I started therapy in 2019, but only in 2020 I've started noticing small change after a small change. And here I am finishing this year: happy! Happy because I found hope that I can be myself, my depression, fear and constant stress created a |monster". I felt like someone else was living in side of me for years. Now... I'm finally becoming free from all this fakeness, pleasing everyone around, trusting my guts, not to be scared to say NO... I feel alive, hence 2020 is a year of me being RE-BORN! I wish all of us an amazing 2021. Focus on inner world as the external one will fix itself!

Its okay if i feel emotion that i perceived as negative like 'dont like something in people who perceived as perfect' it doesn't mean im envy or toxic etc. And how i don't need to be guilty for that. "Each morning we are born again. what we do today is what matters most." "Winners are not people who never fail but people who never quit." "Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up." "Tomorrow is the first blank page of a 365 page book. Write a good one." And finally: "Your entire life can really change in a single year...you just gotta love yourself enough to know you deserve more. Be brave enough to demand more, and disciplined enough to actually work for it."

Having a list of MBTIs that are highly compatible with your type (I'm also INFJ so that means I'm highly compatible with ENFP,INFP,INFJ,ENTP,ENTJ,INTJ,ENFJ) is really helpful. 2. Having list of must have qualities+abilities in your partner - you must develop thrse in yourself first - and list of must-not have qualities (minor+major red flags for you) also helps you.
@merkisruiz31203 жыл бұрын
Two big lessons learned in 2020: The first is that I’m weaker to love than I ever would have liked to admit. It’s my favorite drug and also the most debilitating for me personally and so I need to keep it at a good distance. The second is that for me to be productive I need to be alone. Actually, I’ve known this for years but my mid twenties was a time when I prioritized human connection and compassion to others to an extent where I realized that too much of my mental energy was being devoted to these, and while noble and worthy in their own right, my optimal self is one of solitude and minimum engagement. Of course I’m still companionate and loving towards my fellow man/woman but it’s not something that I have to make obvious all the time and that is perfectly OK. Lana, thanks for sharing your life with us this past year. Wishing you tons of strength and courage for all that comes your way during the next.

This year I have learned how to be alone in a non-detrimental way..I used to want to be alone when my mental health was bad and really used all of my happy moments around other people, whether in person or over the phone. Over quarantine I have distanced myself from social media (everything aside from youtube) which in combination with being in a pandemic has forced me to be okay with being alone with my thoughts AND has minimized my interactions with others to only be intentional and meaningful just by taking social media out of the picture. Its been so good for me and my mental and physical health to live slower and more intentionally. Also, I just want to say that Im proud of all of us for making it through a year that tested us all in many ways. 💚

@Next Level Millennial I have been incredibly fortunate in my experience during this quarantine...it definitely hasn’t been easy but it’s been the push I needed for a lot of positive changes. My biggest lesson from 2020: Judge someone by their actions and not only from their words. I let my previous partner back into my life because of how they said they felt, but their actions did not corroborate their words. Also, I love your videos Lana! 💕 what you said about love not equaling compatibility resonated with my experiences this year too.

My favorite person! 😊 I had more things simply reinforced for me in 2020 vs learning something new. You mentioned paying attention to your thoughts. Also, ask yourself if the thought is yours or it was picked up from society or other people. Many people believe whatever they hear over and over again without stopping and asking......is it true? Also, relationships are more than finding someone compatible. Many people feel incomplete if not in a relationship. You are a whole person and you are looking for another whole person. To me, you are not looking for another being to bring joy to you.......you are looking for a person to which you will both extract joy mutually from each other.

One mindful way to mark the end of 2020 is to express gratitude for all the lessons, memories, challenges... I just started implementing the self care tip and boy has it changed my life! I hope everyone has learned something about themselves this year :) Many blessings in 2021 to come!

Fun fact: Those with a positive outlook of life also get a higher quality of sleep. Studies also show that if you are sleep deprived an hour of sleep will do more for you daily happiness than a $60,000 raise!

"Networking" sounds impersonal, probably because we do associate it with computers. "Connecting" definitely doesn't sound as harsh. There's also some psychology with the beginning letters too (strong back of "N" vs the soft curve of "C"). I've spent my entire life fighting negative thoughts because I've seen how it affects others and prevents them from growing. At 36 I'm happy to say that I have a reputation of being a positive person. And I've lived a very adventurous life because of it. Even during the pandemic I've enjoyed new experiences and the challenge of weaving through the social restrictions. I look forward to seeing your continued personal growth and outlook!

This year I learned that loving my body is one of the most important things effecting my mental health. Please if you arent feeling confident in how you look realize that you are so much more than how you look and you are beautiful

Right on sistah 🤗 It is quite the insight to realize that we are not our body... i think it is something that we can tell others however, that does not mean they get it. They might hear it but its not a realization yet... it has not reached ‘the heart’ ... from that place of knowing it, really knowing we can appreciate it and take awesome care of it, as something precious we will have with us till our last breath✨

I love this topic, so interesting and thoughtful! I learnt to set boundaries, say no to people (including friends) if I needed to in 2020. I’ve said goodbye to many ‘friendships’ but I feel so much better for it! Thanks for the great content Lana ! 👏😃🌟

Reaching out to people even if we don't hear back. Just the practice makes it worth it, the attempt. Getting out of our comfort zone until it becomes more natural. There is one thing I needed to be reminded of today! Great video as always, Lana!

I resonated so much with your comment about not doing things purely for fun… We live in a hustle culture where if you’re not working or being productive 24 seven then you are not a good person… And that’s not true… Life is short let’s have fun too! 😬❣️✌🏻

I should trust my inner voice despite what other people are telling would be better for me. I started to respect my personal boards and didn’t allow anybody to cross it. To say “NO” comes after. Also I’ve learned not to be such a perfectionist in all things I do. And I still keep learning to enjoy my life, my projects and my hobby without thinking about final results (especially finance). I mean to do something without expectation to earn money from that, otherwise I just could lose my passion and inspiration. A 2020 was exactly the year of knowing and exploring myself. I’ve tried to understand better what I want to do and where I want to go. It’s still on progress. Thank you for such a nice video! I really enjoy listening you!

The time where I treated myself the worst was the time I was most apathetic towards other people, so I wholeheartedly agree with the first point. It's like when you are filled with nothing but hate and pity towards yourself you won't find it in you to care about what others are thinking and feeling.

I think the biggest thing I learnt this year is that in order to pluck the fruits of the tree regarding your self-development and growth (haha i hope this saying is correct), you need to put in the effort and work. Meditate, journal, workout, challenge your beliefs - do it not just once, but keep doing it. 🙂 Also want to thank you for your videos, I always watch them because I love your style and content - so keep up the good work and a happy 2021 for you!💕

Merry Christmas and happy new year Lana! The most important thing I learned this year was that when you pursue the opportunities that call to you, often you end up happier even if you don't get as good results as you hoped for. Loved this video, I'm happy to see some positive messages associated with this year. Despite all the trouble in the world my year was among my best ever, and I made a video for my channel (Narrow Ground Entertainment) about it. I look forward to watching your 2021 content!

I learned that when you're doing something with consistency you will advance you will be better on that, even if sometimes you don't percibe that advance. The lesson i learned is to just be constant and patient and early or late you will get that objective. By the way: sorry for my english , I'm learning

2020 has been a meaningful year. I learned that investing in myself is the most worthy investment. I start reading books and it changed my mindset by a lot ( I never read a book before xD) and now I'm just really trying to figure out things in life. I'm trying to establish a new habit of waking up 4.a.m and meditate, exercise and read books. I feel I'm happier by doing a new routine and all of this comes from reading books I really love - Atomic Habits and The Miracle Morning, such a powerful combo to change your life. I've learned to create my own youtube channel too, but it's just a gaming channel. By having a channel really punch perfectionism in the face, so many critics and hate comments, but not to mention the positive comments are massive. I've heard a quote " If you don't want to have haters, then do nothing", it's so true that every action you have done, someone will disagree, but the key to growth is action so kick out FOPO(Fear of people opinion). Thanks Lana, I just feel better after writing this :)
