Did a flight at BBC Louisville of all the Discovery series back in October. Disco 11 won it for me but 12 was second. Ended up buying a bottle of 11. Both are great.

Maybe I am just cheap, but I have never had a Discovery that I felt I had to have. They are good, not great, IMO.

Was shadowing a bourbon tour today so I could do all the tastings, and at Copper and Kings was FLOORED at their 122 proof distillery only BRANDY! Why though? Because it reminds me of two of my favorite bottles: Old Carter American Whiskey, and Penelope Light American Whiskey 15yr. I don't know why either, but definitely bought it. Still feels like I'll open it and suddenly it'll taste like schnapps, lol😂, but I mean wow. It was $80.

Not really hyped at all but the Makers Mark Lost Recipe from Costco is a hitter for me. It's a little more bitter like dark chocolate coffee notes, but for the holidays for me its exactly what you want. Already bunkered a bottle

We still have many B batch in my area of Ohio just no C batches yet. But everything seems to be late this year in my area. Coming this Saturday the state is dropping several single barrel offerings wether they all come close to me is something I will have to wait and see. They do have a Route 8 single barrel that I'd like to see and get.

Nice list except for the Penelope. Very overrated brand imo. Been disappointed on three bottles from them. I’m done. I’d add Frey Ranch single barrels. This is also a brand to watch. Cheers
