Thanks man! So retention is "maximized" in the writing phase, then strengthened with video editing. No amount of video editing can save bad writing unfortunately 🤣 So it comes down to the intrigue of the actual video idea. Example: You found a way to walk on water. You could make an hour long video, with zero edits and zero retention scripting, and it would get tons of views. Simply because the viewer understands the time to value ratio and is willing to make the exchange, "If I watch this for an hour, I can walk on water." Essentially the better the idea, the longer you can talk about it. And then you'd have to craft a hook that effectively communicates the "value". Value also has multiple meanings like actionable tips, a funny story, relatability etc. Then you'd have to structure the rest of the video "guiding" them to the end of the video which is done easiest by following simple story structures.
