I bought the JSA Hot Toddy off the backend of your review a while back. It’s the best overdrive pedal I’ve bought in the last 5 years and I’ve bought (and sold!) a lot. The Hot Toddy Throwback Edition is even better and by far more versatile in my opinion. I know visually they may not be to everyone’s taste, as we all want a pretty pedalboard, but for tone alone this is my unsung hero. I mean it’s £100!

I love the PastFX Preamp Crunch. It's the Preamp from their CE-1. Good choice by Boss to include that particular preamp in the Booster Preamp. Great tones from all pedals here! The Stank Face definitely added to the Gnawer "Rat Lover" effect. Vick Audio Mount Pleasant has to be my personal favourite "underrated overdrive". Unfortunately, Vick Audio is now closed but there's plenty of stock out there (for now).

Man, that GNAWER. Holy cow! You should check out the Crazy Tube Circuits Constellation. Older fuzz/rangemaster circuit that allows you to switch between a fuzz face, 3 tone benders, and two rangemasters. With volume and attack controls also.

Great list mate, no edits here. I've got the JSA and the Great Eastern and can add a plus one kudos to those. The NRG and Thorpy I've played and again, amazing pedals. I'd add in the TateFX Antares, Sitek Cocoa and Temple Devices Reel Deal(uxe)

My addition to the list would be the Fairfield Circuitry Barbershop Millennium Overdrive (helluva name). It's one of those pedals that's just so warm and good and dynamic that everything sounds better and you never turn it off again, I keep mine last in the signal chain.

Great vid, entertaining. I have the Herculean and love it in the same way you mentioned and recently got the Herculean Deluxe which is great and does it all for me with strat and LP type guitars. I don’t think that’s underrated at this point. I also have the Thorpe pedal and love it. I would like to hear more from the Boss pedal. From what you played I didn’t really like it.

I LOVE my Herculean D pedal, I bought the new Herculean Deluxe on launch day and sold it because to me I liked the OG better. The Peacekeeper is one of the best pedals ever made in my opinion. Literally enhances and works with everything from other Distortion/Overdrive gain pedals to gnarly Fuzz pedals. Great video @Jackson Brooksby, thanks for your time and effort!

Instead of buying $2000 worth of dirt pedals people should save up and buy a good amp first. Pedals are addictive because they let you get your “new gear” fix for comparatively cheap, but eventually most of them wind up sitting on a shelf.
