6 oz. of Silver for the 10 oz. Silver Bar project

This video is part of the “Making a 10 ounce Silver Bar for under 300 dollars “
The concept is can I make a .999 fine Silver bar for under 340$ ?
So we are trying to find Silver to process to make a 10 oz. Silver Bar
Here is the break down
The candlesticks weight was 278 grams, the total Silver recovered was 27 grams that’s 10.29% by weight.
The 6 coaster rims were 35 grams total 35/6 =5.83 grams a piece.
The flatware was 142 grams
Today”s total was 230 grams of Sterling Silver .
230 X.925 =212.75
212.75/31.1=6.841 grams of Silver to be processed for the 10 gram bar project .

Thanks Empire . There is a couple of pieces on closer inspection that have some impurities from the melt dish/ flux , but the silver cell will clean it up even nicer . Stay tuned

Hi. About five or seven years ago I went to a garage sale and I saw two sterling silver candlesticks just like the ones in your video. A woman was selling them for $30 each. She saw that I was interested in the candlesticks and offered me a discount of $5. I said I would buy them for $5 each, she started screaming that I was crazy to buy 228 grams of silver for $5. I told her that there were only about 20 grams of sterling silver in the candlesticks, no more. She didn’t believe me. Then I offered her a deal, I said if I pay you $30 and if I prove to you now that there are no more than 20 grams of silver in the candlestick, then you will sell them to me for $5, do you agree or not?! And she agreed. I gave her $30, then broke the candlestick in front of her, threw away the brass rod and all the cement, and the sterling silver ended up weighing 19 grams! She was shocked! 😁So I bought two candlesticks for $5 each. 🙂

That is funny , I was surprised how light these coasters were . Silver deals are getting hard to find , estate sale , eBay , etc. I need to hit up the flea markets , never enough time

81 grams extracted but I didn’t get it all . So either copper cell and recover the values or top secret project in the works . Silver cell should be in operation by Sunday

Two options 1.) add copper cell slimes and silver from paper recovery to make up .66 gram difference . 2.) buy a silver bar from the coin shop ( I’m still under budget)
