Damn. You need some firepower. 3-0 start helps with the wait and see on Brooks. You're just gonna have to fish around. Likely gonna be a package deal you'll have to concoct and start throwing out there for players you like who are also on teams that would make sense to trade with. Gonna be hard to largely improve two positions in a 14 teamer without a lot to offer. Pick either QB or RB and focus on that first. Then address the other issue as the next couple weeks come along.

Ich würde es ohne viel nachzudenken tun. ;) Montgomery is scoring similar points to Mason and his RB 1b role in Detroit is as safe as it gets. He doesn't catch many passes, but neither does Mason and he's working at the Goalline, which is especially valuable in Detroit. Additionally he's got the inherited Upside, that if Gibbs misses a few Games, he becomes a Top 5 RB immediately. Mason on the other hand is a low End RB 1 at the Moment (slightly better then Monty, i agree), but he has the inherited Downside that, if CMC comes back, he will lose his valuable role. Even if you might argue that CMC doesn't come back to 100% it will at least be a commitee and Mason probably won't be more then a RB 3 at the time of the Playoffs.

​@@tamasdencs I wouldn't mind his injury history too much. He's only 27 years old and should be fine, especially because he doesn't play at a full workload. Injuries are often highly volatile and i don't like to project them. For me the question should be, if you think that CMC will come back. If you do, then Mason will have a few more great weeks as a low End RB 1/High End RB 2, but after week 10-12 (when CMC could realistically return), he will only be a RB 3 at best - when they split the workload. -> Get Monty If you don't think CMC will return, Mason could really be a low En RB 1/High End RB 2 RoS. -> Keep Mason But i'm not 100% certain, that he would be able to keep this role either. The 49ers do have an alternative in Isaac Guerrendo and i assume that he will at least get some more carries in the course of the season. Without much receiving, Rushing volume is extremely valuable for Mason and if he starts to share the backfield, even in a 60-40 split in his favour, he might fall down to a mid-low End RB 2, that thrives only through TDs. In that case i would prefer Monty, as his role as a mid RB 2 is very safe and he's got the Upside to become a clear RB 1 - Something Mason doesn't have. -> Get Monty But it's a very interesting question which you could answer either way, depending on your projection.

The problem that now exists with Achane isn't that the workload opportunity is somehow against him now as your suggesting here.. It's that without Tua, there is no reliability to this offense. You can't trust from week to week what this offense will be capable of producing. No idea what to expect from any of the big guns (Hill, Waddle, Achane), when the QB is some low level streamer. You may have no choice but to play these guys anyway but you can't trust the result from week to week.
