I like the comment on exponential growth in your marketing after you reach a certain point. Joining a team is definitely going to help accelerate that curve.

any advice on finding a team? I'm licensed and have tried prospecting online but it very overwhelming. I see a lot of ads for solo agents in different brokerages. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Get a list of the top agents/teams in your market at your brokerage. Any agent doing more than 40 transactions per year is likely looking to start a team or already has one. Reach out and see if you can meet and see if there’s an opportunity to work together.

Can you tell us more about the percentage split within a team? So you ll have to split the commission with your brokerage, let s say 70/30.From the 70 % left, how s usually the commission split between the agent and team leader? What does the team leader offer to the agent with that split? Thank you in advance for your reply!

#endcrew Thanks for the info. I haven't even started the licensing process yet, but I'm trying to learn as much as I can. My friend is a broker, and said he'd put me on his team once I'm licensed. My only concern is how much the split will be.

You're welcome! It's great that you're proactively learning about the real estate industry and considering your career options. Joining a friend's team can be an excellent way to start your real estate career. Before you start the licensing process, have a detailed conversation with your friend about the team's structure and the commission split. This transparency will help you make an informed decision and ensure that both parties are on the same page regarding expectations and arrangements.

I want to join a team but unfortunately it's looking like they only want full time agents. I work a full time job since my wife can't work right now it helps cover our expenses.
