I grew up in Abuja and it was until I started schooling in Lagos that I realized how cool Abuja is. This is a really nice video. I would love you to do one on how to actually enjoy Abuja.

We live in Abuja... Yes, there are major hospitals in every location. At various times we've used Yanya hospital, kubwa hospital, national hospital and Garki hospital aside some private hospitals. Our first child was delivered in Garki hospital but our second was at a private hospital...By the time you add the private hospitals, it is quite some number of hospitals in Abuja...For housing, the rule is, the main City is expensive. The closer you are to the main city the more expensive the houses. The farther you are from the main City the cheaper it gets. But then, the farther you also get from the best of amenities...It's better closer. But sweet soup na money go cook am 😊

I tell people not to buy the stories of moving to super cheap areas in Abuja. First, the areas are flooded, impassable during rainy season, then security, as in, you could be robbed, stabbed, house burgled, then transportation to the city centre is relatively high. My take on Abuja: make sure you have a good paying job or good business, get a relatively good apartment in a safe area even if you will pay a bit more in rent. Then, you can live the life. Avoid people that guilt trip you into living in super cheap areas, when shove comes to.shove, you will be left alone

Just came back from ABJ a few weeks ago. The planning of Abuja is really felt by many people who live there, even though it can still be improved. I always see new roads being built on every trip, let alone areas that were once not very nice being transformed. Look at Jabi for example, back in the day it was nothing to write home about, same with Life Camp, but today they are really nice areas especially Jabi, I was shocked. Not to mention the calmness and general friendliness of its people. One of the few cities where strangers still greet you in the street.
@DiaryofanAbujaMom5 жыл бұрын

@DiaryofanAbujaMom5 жыл бұрын
Hi hi. In terms of accomdations abuja is more expensive, food stuffs are cheaper in the market, road network is better, transportation is cheaper, but generally lifestyle is more expensive here. if you have a job here and you are diligent both in life style and savings, you can cope here but if you like the noise of Lagos. You won't be able to cope here. Please dm me on instagram in case you need more answers.
