How to start a conversation would be a nice one. I'm borderline introvert/awkward. I can always talk back. If someone starts a conversation I am more than willing to jump in and give my thoughts. I know I am a year late w/ this comment, but I recently have been liking someone at work but has a different job from mine, and we've made small talk here and there though not much interaction because she gets busy. Whenever we have the chance I ask her like how are you, and what kinds of coffee do you recommend, fun little stuff like that, and sometimes her voice gets a little uplifted whenever we talk about anything, and she's a pretty cool and bright cheery person too! Thats what attracted me about her. Long story short, I one day gave her a pink carnation flower as a subtle hint of "Hey, I like you but I'll make it subtle through an expression of appreciation" she was really happy and appreciating of the flower and it gave me confidence, though I'm playing it safe and respecting her by giving her some room currently, so that I wouldn't make her feel uncomfortable. The fact that she was happy about the flower made me happy as well. Now I get nervous whenever I go to work lol, ahhh!

honey, can you first define to me what a crush is because crush for me is just a passing fancy. Its different from love where you really wanna build a romantic relationship. when you say crush it is something transient or superficial. i do have several crushes but its nothing but an appreciation for having a handsome countenance, being a gentle soul or being wise and thats all. Here’s a problem. If a relationship starts with “butterflies in your stomach” that means it will be over in roughly 6 months to 1.5 year. Dopamine spike is temporary and interest will be gone once there’s no intrigue or emotion left. One of the partners experiences it way earlier, and it is usually a woman. That’s how most relationships go. The so called “love” isn’t even involved here.
