6 Steps to Become a Software Tester with no Experience | Tips on How to Get a Software Testing Job

A software tester's job is to find bugs, faults, and other issues with the software. They must have an analytical mind and the ability to spot problems that others may miss. Software testers are in charge of ensuring the quality of a product and may also examine if it is simple enough to use for those with no technical understanding.
One of your jobs as a software tester is to verify that the software works properly. You're also in charge of looking for bugs in the program that could cause it to malfunction. To discover these problems, you'll need a solid understanding of programming languages and computer systems. Testers are frequently expected to collaborate with programmers and developers. They must be able to spot flaws and provide feedback on how to correct them. Software testers must also have strong analytical abilities because they are frequently called upon to investigate complicated code and system connections.

Great video. So I’m currently a Scrum Master. But the field is so over saturated lately that I’m looking for a new career and so far software testing is all I’ve been focusing in on. But my question is this career just as hard to get in as it is when looking for another scrum master job when your contract is up? I’m looking for something in tech that’s more stable and I’m wondering if this is it?

Does anyone know how to really get an entry level role as a tester who doesn’t code. I am passionate like no other about getting into this field. Job titles may be QA tester, QA analyst, or Manual QA tester. I’m looking for real entry level where companies with provide on the job training or maybe even a paid apprenticeship. I’ve looked at some Udemy courses but I really feel I would benefit from learning on the job.

Hi Miss Gaddis. I really would love to become a software tester/QA Tester. But everywhere I go when I see the job openings on indeed etc, they want someone with 5+ years experience. There’s hardly no entry level positions anywhere and it’s very discouraging. Do you help people find placement within your course? Because I don’t want to give up on this, I really want to break into tech.

to me it was very hard to find first job. but i've never lied about my experience (they can find out, or give you a hard project that you can't handle and you can't ask questions but you have to on the first jobs). its just hard to find anyways, really wish you luck in that(((
