Thanks for the video. Some very important correction for your content: 1- Iranians people have always called their country "Iran ". Because the first imporant Iranian groups that ancient greek people met was Persians they called our country as Persia and Europeans followed them. We have so many documents for it, even in our first constitutional law during Qajar, the constitutional law was called constitutional law of Iran. Sassanids called their country Iranshahr on their Inscriptions in 1800 years ago. Avesta, Zoroaster's book called our country as Iran-Vij. Ferdowsi, in our epic book of kings, shahnameh, called our country Iran and called us Iranians in 1000 years ago. Nader shah afshar called himself as Nader of Great Iran on his coins in 18th century. Reza shah asked the International community to call our country Iran same as what we have called it since Antiquity. Same story also exist for Greece, the first group of hellenic people that Iranians met were ancient ionians so we call Greece, as "Yonan". Now Turkey and all the centeral asian and Arabs, follow Iranians, and call Greece as Yonan and Yonanistan. But, they call their country "Hellas". 2- Norouz is older than Zoroastrian religion. 3- Zoroasterian religon is also older than 600 BC.

Hello, Historian here. Iran is the historic name of Iran. Persia is what others called it until recently, but it was wrong to call it that. It was corrected. It has always been Ayran (Eran / Iran).

Iran has always been known as Iran among Iranians inside Iran since ancient time. But outside of Iran Iran was known as Persia because the Iranian language is also known as the Persian (Parsi) language, the language of the Iranian ancient religion (Parsi or Zoroastrianism). In 1936 Reza Shah officially changed the name of Persia to Iran for all other people in the world, not for Iranians, Iranians already knew the name of their country is Iran.

Iran was always called Iran internally or variations of Iran, Iranshahr, Iranzamin, the first ever mention of Iran is from 380bc which refers to Iran as Iranshahr. The Greeks were the ones that called us Persians and later the Romans and then the rest of the world.

Hello Sara from Las Vegas, USA. Looks like you have moved to a new residence because your surroundings are different from nine months ago. Could have mentioned that many people confuse Persian with Arabic because of the way it is written, which almost looks the same. Maybe also do a video on the history of Iran: where they were invaded in the 7th century by the Arabs and had the Moslem religion forced on them. Millions were killed who refused to change from Zoroastrianism to the Moslem religion. I believe that to this day there is a dislike of Arabs in Iran because of this. Iran is fascinating country with beautiful and educated people, culture and food. Mr. Taster of Iran last month came to Las Vegas, but he visited and reviewed the American restaurants and not the Persian restaurants.

Quite the education here. Why 2 currencies? What is the most difficult language to learn, Farsi or arabic? FYI: When a was 16 yr old, I use to caregive 2 little girls whose daddy Hamid. ( was Persian), in Kentucky. He went to U of Louisville. That was first time I ate lentils with rice. Lol! These videos are most helpful!
@EconGun
@EconGun 11 ай бұрын
Difficulty of a language is relative. If you're a westerner, Persian is miles easier than Arabic. Because Persian belongs to the same family as the European languages, whereas Arabic is in a totally different category. The double currency situation is the result of the hyperinflation that followed the fall of Iran in 1979. The clerical regime avowedly saw themselves as the conquerors of the Pagan Persian land. So they gutted the economy. Toman is not an official currency. It only means 10.

Iran is a country with four seasons. Yes, there is a desert, but only a part of the country. In the south of Iran, you can experience the hottest weather, and if you travel very fast to the north of the country and the west of the country by plane, you will come across a green land full of rain and snow, especially in autumn and winter, when the snow falls to several meters. arrives
