Great tutorial, what a reveal! You’re such a beautiful teacher. Friendly, open, knowledgeable, great player, great energy, illuminating. I LOVE the D minor scale, so you got me hooked on the varieties from the title. Magical handpans with their own unique voices. I have two pans at the minute, one to return shortly, didn’t know I would have both at the same time. The postman didn’t come for days to collect the returning one. A D minor, 10 & a 12 notes, nitrided and stainless steel. Definitely hear the difference in tone, quality of sound, volume, sustain playing through the scales side by side, do need to observe more thoroughly what the foundation tone, and overtones are doing. And because of D Minor Kurd the scale I like them both appreciating their nuances . One’s gotta go back though - it would be more helpful having one Handpan, and one Rav Vast. Now that would be nice. Hmmmm. Bless you hon. 🤩 PS: Is it possible that a nitrided Handpan can also be a stainless steel pan, or is that just marketing? Is it another metal like alloy steel or something like that in a nitride? I’m trying to fully understand what a nitride means?

Personally Ayasa has such a warm soft sound that I enjoy, but then I love the polarity from the Hang 3rd favorite was probably the Sew it reminds me of the Cfoulke or stainless Xenith pans … great video brother much needed content in this space

Agreed my friend., I think taste has changed drastically in the last 5 years, but I still have a soft spot for Nitrided steel. All depends on what and how I am playing!
