A few months ago, I was preparing to leave my hometown to start a new life with my boyfriend. I was waiting for my visa, but things didn’t go as planned. My visa got rejected, and all my dreams fell apart. On top of that, my boyfriend ended our relationship, saying he couldn’t do it anymore. It was heartbreaking, especially since I was already struggling to finish my thesis. Writing a thesis is hard enough for someone with ADHD, but dealing with depression made it feel almost impossible. That’s when I found your music. I listened to it over and over while writing my thesis, and it gave me the calm and focus I needed to keep going. It also helped me face some of my darkest thoughts and emotions. Now, I’m happy to say I made it through. I finished my thesis, and successfully graduated. Looking back, I’m even thankful my ex walked away-if he gave up so easily, it’s better it happened then and not in an even harder situation. Therefore, just hold on something even tiny... Better things will come. Thank you for creating something so beautiful and putting so much love into your work, Malte.

I have one son who is almost 2 and one daughter who is a month old. They bring me so much joy. This music and the words in your description brought me to tears. I know that some day my children will grow up and leave, and I will feel the same melancholy. But the journey there, just thinking about it, makes me so proud. Already, my son is growing so much. I want to do my best to guide them and give them all that I know so that their lives won't be as hard as mine was when I was growing up. I am also torn with my two beautiful daughters living in different countries and truly wish we could all live close by as it is an ongoing battle to work out how to see enough of them both and now the grandchildren. This music expresses thoughts like sadness and longing but also acceptance and self-reasoning. We cannot be all and everything to ourselves and our beloved children, the way the world is now and how we live in it has taken that away from us. Offspring move away not always because they want to but because they need to make a living, and it is when they scatter in all directions that we as parents are pulled in those different directions never feeling like we can give enough love to all. Hope that makes sense but this music is precious for calming the mind and allowing a release from pain of not seeing all your family in one place very much.

Writing through my tears over losing the closest beating heart to me, my dear small bird of 13.5 years… he passed away on Aug 19, 24. I started learning to play this instrument by watching Malte’s videos… played for a few weeks … loved it … got busy and let go .. a week ago picked it up again in memory of my bird as he used to chirp as I would play … he used to talk at times … I had never recorded him, thinking we have so many years left together … I listened to one of the practices I had recorded and heard my parrot saying “baby” multiple times .. as he used to melting my ❤ .. and I crieddd.. thank you for being my teacher … so I play … so my bird talk .. so I have his voice forever ❤❤

I sat and listened to this as I closed my eyes. A wave of emotions came over me as I focused on my breathing and I all of a sudden felt a release. When my eyes opened, tears streamed down my face. From the grief I endure everyday from the loss of my mom and brother, to the uncertainty of everything going on today, I felt at peace while listening to this. I play this for my young kids. They sway innocently to the music unaware of the heaviness of the world. For some reason this gives me hope for my broken heart and for my kids and their future. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤
