One reason why I don't initiate texting even to someone I really like: I don't like getting ignored or receiving late messages. Let's just say I went through some phase of my life being ignored whenever I called for help, so now I'd rather wait for the person to text me or if not, it is what it is. It's hard being this way because I am often confronted for "not being interested" when I am actually interested. 🤦

Relationships are a two way street; not just romantic. It's reasonable for you to not try when the other side isn't putting in the effort. I did the same and I only talk to a few people. Even when I confronted the ones I stopped talking to about it and said how I had people not value me but they didn't show to sympathize.

Sometimes people are just busy .. it doesn't mean they aren't interested in you.. I know how bad I feel when my one texts and I don't respond immediately .. Because I was doing or working on something not looking at my phone. I feel like you should be able to walk away from your phone for a little bit because your trying to accomplish something. When I go check my phone and notice she did text me . A feeling of like panic washes over me and I start to feel like ..OH NO SHE TEXT AND I MISSED IT ! So I call her immediately. Then feel even more awful because her feeling are now hurt and she's thinking you don't care enouf about her to keep checking your phone every 10 minz to see that you didn't miss a text.. It's a super sad thing when your 1 thinks you don't care or have time for them . So have your phone on you at all times. Check it often so you don't miss her text. Ok

Instead of them being left on read when texting first or always being the one texting first the original commenter is leaving everyone else on read. If they were really interested in someone they'd take that risk for the possibility of a true connection. Maybe therapy would be a better option for the original commenter to help heal the pain of past wounds instead of inflicting the same wounds to the next person who tries to connect. As someone else said to them above a relationship is a two way street but if your vehicle needs a tune up go to a licensed "mechanic" before you cause a wreck for another human being. This isn't always the case, mainly number 3. I have seen and been on both sides of the coin. Some people are horrible at responding, or their anxiety can stop them from doing so. I liked a girl who would be pretty responsive. She would text me first, but she suddenly stopped the last month of our friendship. Turns out she didn't feel the same. She admitted that she only texted me first a lot of times because I helped calm her anxiety and depression in the morning. Yet, the girl I like now and talking to messages me every morning but is terrible at responding to a text. In-person, she loves to touch, kiss, and hold hands and is very responsive

She always seemed to be really busy too, so there were many times where I would text her and she would reply saying that she was doing something for school or hanging out with a friend or something like that. Eventually I got the impression that I was disturbing her, so that was part of the reason why I stopped texting her.

When I first got her number, our relationship as friends was fresh, which, if anyone wants a romantic relationship with someone, become their friend first! :D. I’ve got a friend who I really like but am pretty sure doesn’t like me back. She’s very open and talkative around newer folks that she hasn’t met yet, but somehow when she is around me, she feels more closed off, and less interested in continuing conversation. We were very friendly in the beginning and had great conversations before, but there is a weird invisible boundary that I am trying to break but can’t seem to do it. I also get the short text convos where I am doing most of the work, but she does short answers or doesn’t even answer at all. Well from experience it's either the person likes the attention negative or positive due to low self esteem and a need for reassurance no matter who it's from. Feeling desired feels good to some people even from people that are not attracted too. There is also a misguided sense of guilt where the person is too passive and afraid to reject the person or tell them they are not into them because they don't want to look or be the bad guy in the situation and will hope the other person gets the hint. Not wanting to hurt their feelings I think in some cases this is more common with people who have a savior complex that gets burnt out in the process.

Usually when I see experiences of people always initiating conversations with their crushes, I see people put the blame on the initiators but rarely on the crushes themselves. If the crush doesn't respect you, reciprocate appreciation, best not to try. You're not losing anything and usually they won't know what they have until it's gone. Even when they won't notice that, it's best to go to where you're needed. Keep in mind, I'm not talking about crushes where the crush isn't interested back romantically and still treats you decently, referring to crushes that don't value you and their time with you.

In my experience I've been with people who are extremely thoughtful and kind, and present when you ar with them, and that makes up for all the time we are away from each other and not really texting much. There are people who are just bad at texting, or maybe the dynamic that you and this person developed does not require constant texting. I don't text my friends, and I take a while to respond as well. It's not that I don't like or don't care about them. The important thing also is to kmow your needs. If you in fact need someone who's going to be always available to respond, and will always match your energy, you should not invest your time in that person.

I got some hope. The girl I been crushing has actually messaged me first! It's always enthusiastic and she thinks I'm funny! She doesn't do 5 out of 6 of these! Sometimes she takes long to respond but that's because she's a single mother but when she texts back she actually apologizes and explains where she went and has admitted she's not the greatest texter but has always asked questions and kept the conversation going! I love this channel and I think these tips are very helpful though honestly in my opinion it is still hard to tell whether someone likes you through texting (bc of the nuances when it comes to text messaging) and i think sometimes it can be difficult to really know even by their actions in person. Yesterday I went to Open House at my school and I got to see my friends again. I have seventh period with a boy who I used to have a crush on, who's just my friend now, and when I sat down next to him, he didn't even speak to me once. It reminded me of how he's never started a texting conversation with me, and the one time we really had an actual one where he replied quickly and it lasted more than three messages was when I said I had a crush on him and he said he already knew. (I wasn't too good about hiding it, and basically every girl at school had a crush on him.) My mom claims that she saw us talking though, so maybe he did try to say something to me? This year, I want to try and be better friends with him without being as creepy and pushy as I was last year.

There's this girl from my dance class who I thought might like me. It was mostly a gut feeling, but I could've sworn I'd noticed her looking in my direction often. Or sometimes mimicking/mirroring the way I warm up before class. And whenever I goof around, she's usually watching and usually laughs. We happened to end up as dance partners for this one piece we were learning, and we got in contact over email to discuss the dance. Our conversation was very amusing, but one of the things that worried me was that fact that I felt like I was running the conversation. I'd ask questions and she'd respond and that would be it. Her responses did have a bit of energy, but I felt like the initiative came from me... In person, I still got the feeling that she might be into me. Plus, she got along with my siblings, who were also in the class. We haven't interacted since our performance of the dance. And since I felt like we were becoming friends, I got a little worried. I didn't know if I should reach out, tho, bc I was the last one to do so. So, I came to look for videos that could help. Going through the 6 signs: 1. No. Her energy never seemed off. She was more relaxed and goofy over email, but reserved in person. 2. Yes. I always initiated the conversations. 3. Yes? I'm not sure if this one applies bc who checks their email all the time? I'd usually receive a reply several hours after mine, but I didn't think much of it bc she mentions she works late, so her schedule is a bit skewed. 4. No. Intimacy was never a topic, so that one doesn't apply. 5. Yes. Usually her responses were just answers to questions I'd asked. However, I assume that's because I tend to write a lot... so I probably answered all her questions just by rambling >< 6. Yes? She'd typically respond with one or two sentences.... It feels short considering the fact that it was over email... but on the other hand, two sentences is probably pretty standard for texting, plus I know I can write an abnormally large amount. In conclusion... There's never a guarantee since everyone is different. But given the signs outlined by this video, I think my initial gut feeling was a figment of my imagination. Kinda feel bad about assuming that someone liked me... it isn't right of me to assume such things of people >

I fell in love with my friend and told him how I feel though I know perfectly we both aren't ready. I just had to say it cause hiding feelings was literally killing my mental health. well i have gotten a "k." but its only when shes mad at me or i did something wrong but i try to fix it and were back to talking sweet again we share dreams, thoughts, passion, future, and we think on what will we be if we suddenly got hurt or who will prupose first like we are having a competition of love. remember dont be shy or scared to ask whats wrong because asking on whats the situation sometimes help you and your partner in a relationship, but if she doesnt say anything try to figure it out its not bad to ask your friends for help but its better doing it by yourself because it like you are dedicated to make your relationship stronger and better
