Define nice guys. I am a guy with my dominant character trait being extreme emotional intelligence. I have empathy to reflect other people emotions onto myself just from short eye contact. Obviously i am going to invest more to keep people around me happy as surrounded by cheerful and stress free environment makes me happy. Heavy atmosphere bothers me a lot. Being a very empathic person myself, I can relate to what you're saying. The point of this video goes along with the concept of the "Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck." Basically, you only have a finite number of fucks to give so give/invest in people and things that really matter. The trouble about being a nice guy is making yourself too available to the point where it isn't appreciated as much. You don't want to spread yourself too thin nor make yourself so accessible that it isn't valued as much.
