One Chelsea player costs more than the whole Celtic team , the most Celtic paid for one of those players that beat Chelsea and Man City is £7 million , it’s an indication of how overrated many Premier League players really are , there’s a huge gap in annual revenue as well between the Scottish teams and the EPL teams . Celtic have one of the best managers who always raises his players to higher levels , they play an attractive, fluid, attacking game , last year Hart did a brilliant job anchoring the team and Schmeichel looks already like he fits the bill as a dependable stopper 👍

Koulibaliy literally spoke about the fact he couldn’t handle having to think and move the way the Prem requires. I watched Badiashile handle both Mbappe and Messi in the same game with no issues. He would do fine in, say, Italy. But he’s not gonna do well here.

Your no 6 is golden and my position from day 1. Our problems were Pretty much streamlined to a solid defender and a clinical striker at the end of last season to be able to compete too 4 but what do these owners do - fire Poch, hire a manager with an entirely different philosophy from what made us top 6 last season and one that most of the players don’t understand. We are going to be toast for the first half of next season even though we have some of our best players - Nkunku and James back and Cucu picking up form. We will be lucky to be top half of the table by mid season

Could not disagree more about Mudryk red box. Every time he was on the ball he connected a pass and went forward. Sick of the Mudryk targeting. He is 23 and is just now looking like he’s comfortable. He played well in the half he played ( at least on the ball ). A red box is crazy harsh.

Now as a lay man that I am, I somehow know 2 to 3 players who can't and won't be an asset to Chelsea fc going forward, badiashile being the biggest culprit followed by sterling and to some extent chiwell. As tactics and inverting go, James inverting is a no no. If cucurella is not not inverting let gusto or the new left back signing from Portugal do it but certainly not James or might see cost us a lot in games through positional indiscipline and picking up too many bookings

It was just a friendly and City weren't up to full speed so no one is reading much into it, but at least it should have told Chelsea that it wasn't going to be a walkover for Chelsea. Rome wasn't built in a day. The coach has a clear game tactics and identity. We had more chances, although we could not convert most of them. I think the issue on the pitch was more on the players than the manager. And its just a matter of time for them to settle in. Lets not forget that a lot of the first team players in the lineup are just coming back from injuries. And the likes of Nico and palmer that comverted most of the chances for us last season weren't in the line up.

Red for Mudryk is a joke. Man had 45min, during which he had received the ball few times only. Yes, he didn't take on 5 defenders and didn't score a solo goal, but I guess red box for that is kinda harsh. All the play was through the right side of the pitch, where brilliant Noni did absolutely nothing, loosing the ball on a numerous occasions (which Mudryk didn't do once). Apart from loosing the ball, brilliant Noni miscued the ball and didn't convert one of the best chances Chelsea had in a second half. Chukwuemeka had multiple chances and converted none, including avoiding passing to Madueke during first minute of the match, which should've been an easy goal... Basically no one did anything worth mentioning, yet the only player out of all the attack, who earned the privilege to be mentioned with a red color was Mudryk. I'd day that is somewhat bias. I agree he could've been more involved in the defense, but don't you think the way he stays out wide and is doing what he was told to (not what he likes to) - clearly is manager's instructions, which are not necessarily the good ones?

From my point of view, Fofana is a clear sub. Our 3 of the back should be : Tosin RCB, Colwill CCB and Veiga LCB. Cucu and Malo more advanced RB and LB kind of Conte played Alonso and Moses. With Enzo and Caicedo in the middle, and Palmer behind Nkunku.

Personally, I think it is a blessing in disguise when we were beaten by Celtic. George, to me the difference was,that Celtic started their preseason training probably one month earlier. This Celtic team today is coached by Rogers, but made by Angie Postacoglou, and this is how Spurs will look this season without spending billions. Just watch Spurs second half against champions of Japan. I just don't understand why the preseason training could not be started 3 weeks earlier specially when the new coach has arrived. What did we learn? Maresca will take Chelsea back to the top. 1. He compared his team now to his team in the first game and highlighted the fact that they played his style more in the second game than the first even though it was a heavy defeat. 2. He focused on the things they did right. He didn't focus too much on the negatives. It is a brand new project and Celtic with their fitness levels are already on high spirits after the Mancity win. 3. He knows exactly how he wants to play and how the team should move with and without the ball. It means they will gradually improve. 4. Maresca plays very similar to Pep and Mancity usually have a slow start to the season. It doesn't mean they don't end up winning the league.

In the first place Maresca’s style doesn’t fit the way Mudryk plays. If we had any hope of him coming good at Chelsea all that is now gone with the new Maresca style. I think we should loan him if possible and see if we can upgrade Tyrek George, but we still need a great 1v1 inside out, great crosser, kind of left winger

As for Badiashile, I have a question for you lots, when cucurella inverted who was next to him? Benoit and did we complain in the final parts of the season. a bit harsh on Mudryk, he was moving and getting in area's to be able to receive the ball but no one ever passed to him. all the balls were going to the right. Its almost like his teammates dont trust him...

Signings arent the problem... We hype the flops and flop those who fulfil the hype. Chalobah and Petrovic should be ahead of Badiashile, Fofana and Sanchez based on last seasons performance and fitness. How a whole club management cannot see that baffles me. Chukwuemeka and Noni should never play on the same flank. They were horrendous on the right. Left too much work for Reece James to do in covering the flank, leaving Lavia exposed too many times. Just from watching the preseason teams, the only shining lights are Nkunku and Guiu. Building on the present form and fitness, I think Maresca should try a different combination of players in his next game. Jorgensen Tosin. Colwill. Renato. James. Ugochukwu. Santos. Nkunku. Sterling. Guiu. Mudryk The balance would be better. Santos can drop deep to cover James when he drops back as a fullback. This would bring the fomation back to a 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 in defence. Ugochukwu, Sterling, Santos and Renato Veiga should play. Im done seeing anything positive from Noni, Chuwuemeka, Badiashile and Fofana. Gusto and Reece seem decent in the inverted roles but are very limited in their ability to deliver offensively. Just my take. When the big guns return, we can see how things may improve.
