Disasi had a good game last season against city.. but for how big of a unit he is he never wins battles.. out of 10 he will win 1 maybe 2. Same with badiashile ! Badiashile has a better passing accuracy then disasi but its not saying much. They was both horrific again tonight for me. Casedi did ok.. muddy turned up. Over all am happy but yeah imagine when disasi or badiashile have to fill in on a prem game against a decent opposition! Another note veiga was decent aswel.

Never really like Maresca as a coach but the way he has helped simplify Mudryk's game so much that when he's on the ball, you feel something will happen is shocking. He's playing with purpose. No Chelsea coach prior was able to do this. Biggest respect Enzo!

I have to ask questions of Badiashile for both goals. First one, he's playing everyone onside. Second one, I felt like he was too slow to react before the winger receives the ball and passes it in. That being said, Veiga has really started to show his quality. He's had flashes so far this season, but this was the first game where he was performing all throughout. 👏👏

First off, of course Im happy with the result as well as a few players performances but defensively we showed too many cracks. I dont think Casadei put himself as much as he could of and his defensive positioning wasnt great. Both Disasi and Badiashile were extremely poor for me, a few decent progressive balls but on the whole, out of position alot, lack of effort and simply a lack of quality. I dont believe those two are chelsea standard. Veiga was brilliant, Mudryk showed signs of brilliance again, hall was great in patches. Anyways cmon you blues, cant wait to see us lift a trophy or two at the end of this season.

I’m delighted we won and we definitely deserved to win but I’m still concerned about our defence, we were 3-1 up then 4-1 up and I thought we might score another goal and win 5-1 , but we let them score a second and the defending for the second was terrible, I know we are a young team with a new manager but we have to learn to tighten up when we are 4-1 up and not let teams get back into games because if we don’t we won’t win a trophy this season

Credit the coach for giving George and Guiu some playing time. If Gent had better finishing, the score line and subs nay have been different. With the speed, touch, dribbling and link play, they carved openings in Chelsea. Gent is an exciting team to watch. Players to watch: Brown, Gudjohnsen, Gambor, Fadiga, Surcez, Delorge-Knieper. Best Chelsea players: Veiga, Dewsbury-Hall, Nkunku, Neto. Mudryk was more productive. The defensive trio of Disasi, Adarabioyo and Badiashile are a work in progress. Developing discipline to hold a line and check that line. Developing the confidence to move the ball forward vs stopping and passing sideways or back. Playing thru passes or making some forward runs. Maresca used 3 at the back, 1 roving sitter, 3 in miffield and 3 up top. Veiga inverted, Dewsbury-Hall and Felix dropping deep to link and provide options for the defense. Casadei stitching gaps, Lavia like. Neto, Nkunku and Mudryk roaming on top. Need to see our big boys (Adarabioyo, Badiashile, Disasi, Casadei, Veiga) more involved in corners. Interesting if they can score directly from nipped in crosses.

George, the light thing in the second half was due to chelsea fans responding to the celebration the gent fans did after they scored their first goal. So when chelsea scored a 3rd, the stadium mimicked their celebration by all uniting and flashing phone lights. It was top tier shithousery 😂
