The biggest advantage as Malaysians is 90% of us are so well verse in at least 3 major languages. If you travel abroad, most of the locals there are so envy of us able to communicate in different languages. True story.

I doubt that, 90% is overexaggerating, most people in Malaysia can't even speak decent English lmao.

No you are wrong. I am Malaysian Chinese . Majority of Malaysian is malay. Malay only speak malay . Only small percentage of educated ones speak good English. As for Malaysian Chinese the Chinese educated ones can't speak both English and malay while those national school Malaysian Chinese prefer to speak English and some only speak malay. Generally speaking Malaysian Chinese Majority in KL speak Cantonese and in Penang speak hockien which nothing much different from Singaporean Chinese. At least Malaysian Chinese can choose to be Chinese educated or national school educated.

Singapore and Malaysia are good neighbours and we need one another. And we are learning from one another. Nothing to proud of off, and nothing to shame off. Both sides have families. Maintaining excellent relationship will benefit the people of both country. Thank for sharing and make fun of one another.

Highly-diverse cultures usually have very low context. You have to be direct and straightforward to communicate and survive in a low context culture. That's why British ppl are very indirect but the Americans are extremely straightforward and direct.
