In Malaysia, we also use 'Ayuh' as 'Jom'. 'Good afternoon' in Malay should be 'Selamat tengahari'. 'Selamat petang' is 'Good evening'. I think is 'keretapi' is interchangeable with 'kereta api', no '-' in between. 'Banget' sounds similar to bahasa Melayu (BM) Sabah or Sarawak which carry the same meaning. 'Menyogok' (kata dasar: sogok) is in Kamus Dewan Malaysia lah bro, a commom word interchangeable with 'rasuah'. 'Astaga' is common in Sabah's and Sarawak's BM and it's same meaning. 'Banci' in BM Malaysia means statistic. 'Ngentot' this word sounds quite familiar... I think Sabahan and Sarawakians use it commonly.

Bandara in Indonesian is short for Bandar Udara meaning (literally) Air Port/City. Whereas Pondan in Indonesian actually means Fondant, like for the cake. Banget is a current slang word that is derived from Javanese language, the regional language of Central Java, East Java and Special Region of Yogyakarta. Banci is a rude slur to refer to feminine men in Indonesia, like Pondan is in Malaysia. However the word Banci in Malaysian Malay means census, for example, Banci Penduduk. Honestly, make love in Bahasa Indonesia is ngewe (pronounced ngéwé)

I haven't done any research but my guess is, malay language is much older than indonesian language(bahasa). So it's perfectly normal if some well educated indonesian who knew some of malay words, see it as an old words from language history. Most indonesian nowadays will have no idea at all about those words if you trying to show and ask them the words. There's no doubt indonesian language that used today was developed based from malay language and evolving thru time and become the language we used today in indonesia. Btw bandara stands for bandar udara. And if we talk about which words more suitable and make more sense in terms of which word is better used in reality be it in formal and non formal conversation, then we are talking about a very sensitive and subjective subject, as each country will most definitely think their language would sounds way more make sense and fits to use.

In the past, Indonesia and Malaysia had very close languages. but because they were colonized by different countries and different fates.... made the language difference between the two widen. That's why to avoid misunderstanding, nowadays many people use English in communicating tragically.

imo there are some flaws in radit's vocabulary. well i know he's mostly joking in this video but i'll point those things. hospital bersalin in indonesian is rumah sakit bersalin, it's pretty similar but he said it doesn't make any sense. second, many indonesian people use the word "kereta api" as well (except electric train) , kereta is just a shorter way to say both of them. Hubungan intim is actually a very soft/formal way to say the "make love" in indonesia, the bad/rough way is ngent*t lol. anyway, despite all those stupid haters and conflicts between malaysia and indonesia, this video is really funny! good job dude! *clap intensifies*

Im indonesian... What raditya speaks here is indonesian slang spoken in jakarta... But indonesia has hundreds of accents based on its regional languages (local languages). Im from borneo (berau) and i found out that my accent is much more similar to sabahans rather than radit's accent here. And my friend from pontianak (west borneo) speaks just like malaysian accent. So its very hard to generalize indonesian language.. But one thing for sure is we use MALAY as the root of our languages... All accents and dialects have developed and influenced by so many factors..... Thats the richness of NUSANTARA.... Malaysia and indonesia have shared so many things in common. We cant deny that we used to be one until imperialist came and devided us. How about we use all these things in common to make us united instead of trying to claim to each others.... We used to be one big family whether you like it or not...
@abrm1256 жыл бұрын
yes, u right... like in Medan, we also often to say pukimak than ng*n*ot bcs it's too rude and sounds strange for us here, lol... our local slang also similar like malaysian, especially in the peninsular
