I went through a vision therapy program to treat my decompensated esotropia with eye turn. It was very successful, but my vision therapist suggested 2 years into my treatment that maybe a syntonic filter could further my progress. I had already gotten off prism glasses completely, but I had something called a “slip” that regular vision therapy was not correcting. So I tried syntonics. I was given a green filter to look at a light for 10-12 min 3-4 times a week before I do my normal vision exercises. I have been doing syntonics for about 2 months. I haven’t noticed any negative side effects but to think that the syntonics could possibly make things worse and erase some of my progress is disconcerting to say the least. In light of your discussion here, I am not sure I want to continue with my prescribed syntonic filter. I was satisfied with my progress pre-filter and I think it might be best to just leave things there.

We however do not interfere or give advice on treatment if you are someone else’s patient already or seek to work with someone else as treatment approaches vary. Unless you have come to a conclusion that what you are getting isn’t helping and wish to get help from us. We cannot direct someone else to do what we do or correct them on what they are doing. 3. We also cannot advise on any others as we help people who wish to work with us regardless of where in the world they live and would be glad to work with you too considering you are watching Dr Steinhauer’s take and not someone else’s which are not usually the same as she has developed unique approaches to this in over 2 decades. 4. Finally if you wish for her to interpret results wouldn’t it be a better to explore working with us since location is not a limitation? 🤷‍♀️ You would also get the added bonus of skipping the hassle of getting dressed or driving to someone’s office weekly. Hi Richard. The video is not meant to demoralize but to provide information, as most people would rather know what they are dealing with than not. Apologies for my ignorant comment. I've been looking at your KZbin videos and website. Very impressed with what I've seen and read. Assuming I am a good candidate and depending on how much it would cost me, do you offer the option of paying in installments? Also, would I be assessed or screened periodically to ensure that not only do I improve but that I am doing the therapy correctly and safely? Hi Grizz, yes inherently light has a direct effect on the pituitary. The HPA axis is made up of the hypothalamus, the pituitary gland, and the adrenal glands. And Hormones play an important role in the HPA axis and Syntonicstriggers the hypothalamus and pituitary directly. So in so many words yes.

It is very difficult to help any person with logical recovery, and prevention of myopia! Judging results, must be in the person himself. I ask the OD, or MD, if he is using this method - on his own children. For me, my goal is life-time prevention. Thanks for your sincere efforts!

This video alone makes me want to get on your program. I was in a short vision therapy program last year and saw an Opthamologist who later measured my eyes got worse. I am exploring red light therapy now and syntonics is very appealing. My quality of life suffers from this double vision 😢

I have been doing syntonics Green and Red for more than one year now and my vision therapist does not know about amblyopia and she never had someone with double vision in her vision therapy sessions before. So I quit the program and neither the doctor, nor the therapist has called me back for a follow up since. I am not sure how to move forward from here, especially that my optometrist is very professional, but she is not specialized with conditions like mine. WOW very enlightening! We just got 2 (green/blue) to wear on top of each other for 5 seconds in the AM and 5 seconds in the PM. No other instructions. Can't imagine how its even helping. When asking the doctor, they said we don't need to know 'how' it works, but that it 'does' work. Hmm. Thanks for your video.

My astigmatism has only gotten worse over the years and not once have I ever heard of vision therapy to help heal my vision I’ve only been told it’s a change in my eye shape and there’s not much I can do about it 😢

The same thing happened to me. I was told I had an astigmatism and progression worse and I now have double vision. I live in Northern California and even the doctors here didn't believe in vision therapy. Once I did try vision therapy last year they had me do alot of convergence exercises when I really needed work in my divergence insufficiency. It angers me greatly how greedy and narrow minded the medical field is. I am now doing red light therapy and setting rules to no longer use my phone in the dark at night before bed. Apply my visual exercises when possible. Light therapy is very important as were inside all the time. I hope my vision can return without invasive and risky surgery
