The hate-boner that Wesker has for Chris makes zero sense. Chris provided the combat data for Wesker that he wanted, Chris testified about Wesker being killed in front of his or Jill's eyes that allowed for Wesker to operate in the shadows at will without Umbrella being suspicious if Wesker was truly dead in case all of STARS members were dead and there was no way to confirm if Wesker truly died in the Mansion's explosion. Wesker played Chris completely in RE1, him showing up in CV and ranting to Claire about how he hates is retarded, if anything Chris was just his pawn in RE1 and no one cares about a pawn once he served his purpose. If anything Chris should be the one harboring hatred for Wesker since he's responsible for his friends deaths, yet he just treats him as some madman that must be stopped.

I never felt annoyed by the missing item boxes in RE0. It gives you complete control on where to leave everything, plus it is the player's fault when leaving something in a place far away. Let's see it this way: 1) The game is faster than before 2) You choose your OWN paths of backtracking and not just the same rooms over and over again for an item box 3) Less backtracking 4) More realistic 5) Need to use your brain. For example, if you have a new puzzle item but haven't found the puzzle itself, the logical thing to do is to leave the item next to the only door that is still locked. So, actually there is no backtracking. And for big items like the hookshot, yeah OK, do some minimal backtracking. It still is faster than tge previous games where you had to always backtrack to the same 8 rooms for an item box. Plus, the main halls in Zero are only 3-4 rooms away everywhere you are.

Fun video! Shame there wasn't a RE2 specific one (The zapping system, maybe?) By my counting there is... two for RE0, one for RE1, two for RE3, one for all four REs. Hell, even no quick-turn in RE1 & RE2 is annoying! Its partly why I hold the DS port of RE1 to be the best (non-remake) version of the game! You got the quick-turn, a handy map always on screen, etc.

i get it but thats just gaming, i do wish they would change the mechanic in resident evil so if a zombie grabs you, you simply button smash to get him off you, cause the whole zombie bites you, ya should be infected but your not, instead... change it so u lose health when grabbed, it makes more sense

The OG RE1 Hunters had I-frames when they did that instakill move on you. So there's no blasting them back at the last minute. The only safe way was absolute firepower to keep them away from you.

Well to be honest it's not until later entries that determined the order, for example resident evil 6 shows Sherry having the effects of the remaining gvirus still in her system. Which only happens in Claire A

@@ihavethis54 Yeah that’s fair. I’ve always argued against it but by the time 6 was in development I stopped caring haha. Aside from Leon’s disc clearly being the intended disc one as printed on the face of the disc, I also argued it because Leon was fleshed out with the first attempt at the game( RE 1.5) which was quite some time before anyone even thought of Claire. Leon was around until they had nearly finished RE2 and scrapped it but kept him and then invented Claire.

I think it was the year 2003 when I gave up playing re code veronica. Because having completed 2 first so many times then 1 a couple of times, I just said Capcom do something different for once instead of the same old puzzle strategy zombie shooter formula for every re release. Also the tank controls were getting old so I tucked away all the re games and just played games like metal gear solid 1,2 and 3. Fighting games and racing games up until resident evil 4 came out and bam💥 I was having a lot of fun playing resident evil games again. I have completed re code veronica and re 3 original not long ago and these are on my favourite list along with 4.

2:00 Zero.... yeah, I adore it despite its flaws; but as cool as it is making a game without the box (Outbreak does this well though!), littering the main hall is visually shitty. And there's not Zomboid-like Quality UX to get what I need in time. 4:30 Nemesis - eh, as a kid? Yeah, it felt tough and unfair. However, since I've started playing these in the fan fixes/ upscales, I've found that I'm taking on Nemmy very well with the dodges. Triggering them, mostly. I'd say the actual unfairness is a lack of coding determining where to dodge, checking for collisions around us. Cause the lack of I frames means getting a dodge wont' matter cause the avatar's hurtbox goes into the fucking meatball swinging for my head. So, I like Re3 notRemakes modern chain dodges, but I'll take og Nemesis anyday, now. Also, no - water puzzle is amazing, a tier puzzle - its just logically stacking columns. For the music box? Haven't gotten to clock tower again, so don't recall the issue, but I'm gonna trust you on that...and the crystal ball puzzle. But it's better than the pathetic excuse for puzzles in 8illage! 8:00 Ok, I'm gonna need to finish my Leech Run highlight on my other teams channel so you can see my opinion on the Eliminators... Omg.... Give me more leechmen any day!

So the magic elevator is the one you go into when the the train crashes at the start. Remember the train was in the arklay mountains heading towards the training facility. Yet the second floor of that elevator opens up at the Marshalling yard back in raccoon city so the training facility is underneath the Marshalling yard yet also out in the arklay mountains 🤯

the marshalling yard is where you take the train elevator down to umbrellas lab, and yes you do fight the tyrant there. The same area is found in the OG RE2

I think the most annoyed I've ever been with Resident Evil was Code Veronica with the disc 2 softlocks. Second most annoyed is Zero with the inventory management and bad partner AI.

The one which drops you a crest symbol to put in the clock to change the time of the day or something. It had a poem written on the wall that talked about the behaviour of birds, like "the shining white pigeon attacked amd then ate the bird's first black son and it couldn't even scream", which translated to "press the white key and then press the first black key that makes no sound" and things like that... It was similar to RE Zero's puzzle with the animals that you had to activate with fire.

I hated hunters the most in RE3 because of the stupid dodge mechanic, you just want to shoot the hunter but instead Jill does a dodge and by the time you have control of movement again the hunter has hit you again. So what do you do? You try and shoot the hunter again then Jill dodges yet again!! I wish the dodge could of been toggled off.

I’ve only just gotten into the resident evil series thanks to 2 and 3 remake. I’ve bought 4 and playing through it now. I loved 3 and I’ve platinum trophied it. I loved 2, and my first playthrough as Leon I was so excited to see Claire’s POV. The disappointment that there is no “Claire pov”, just Leon’s campaign all over again, the whole time I was just questioning what the point was of having 2 different characters if their story is the exact same. When you play as Leon, what the hell is Claire also doing down in the lab? How the hell did she get there? We went through the onky entrance? Where the hell did the girl come from? It makes sense if you play as her. But those event can’t happen if you play as Leon….

The only three times when Resident Evil gets annoying is this - when it changes it's entire way of play and story: which it has since RE4 was wrongfully made a Resident Evil game. When they can't even remake a game properly - they had the template of how how do it properly with the first remake and they STILL manage to mess it up. And when they try to make films and the only ones remotely close are the animated ones...And I say that very hesitantly. The series hasn't been itself since 2005 and it's been flogged to death with ripoffs ever since.
