Many orphans wants someone to blame for why they were orphaned, what the reasons were don’t matter to them, they grow up without something that basically everyone else has, and they need to blame that on something or someone, and if that something or someone has a face and a name, all the better, it’s not logical, it’s emotional, every single time he was laughed at for being an orphan, and/or every time he ever passed by seeing someone else having a nice happy family and childhood, that accumulated into this

You're right about this order fixing a lot of issues, but I'd probably go a step further and that is: restructure the story to make 'Edonia' effectively it's own section that the player has to play first. It'd be a bit long to call it a prologue, but that would essentially be it's purpose. By interpolating Chris Chapter 2 into Jake Chapter 1, the whole 'six months earlier' section happens first, jumping between Jake/Sherry and Chris/Piers' merged stories in Edonia. So, have the helicopter crash at the end of Jake Chapter 1, then show Chris's team escorting 'Ada' out of the enemy base (but not her betrayal), and then jump to Jake Chapter 2. Then end the section by rewriting and bringing forward the 'Chris/Jake confrontation' from Chapter 5, so that it happens 'before' Jake finds out who his father was: Chris and Piers alone find Sherry and Jake near the rendezvous point at the Edonian border (it's not explained where Chris's team is); Sherry tells Chris why Jake is so important and who he is; Chris admits he knew and killed Jake's father; Jake flies off the handle, but Chris doesn't retaliate because he knows Jake doesn't know about Wesker yet. Ustanak reappears, preventing Jake from shooting Chris, and they are separated. Then Chris is knocked out and Sherry/Jake are captured by 'Ada' who explains who Wesker was. This then recontextualises their interactions later on. When Chris has his 'flashback' during his campaign, the only bit we see is a reveal of the cutscene where Ada betrays/infects Chris's team.

@dnegel95467 ай бұрын
Huh?
@terancetan55039 ай бұрын
My idea was totally different from yours - it was more narrative-based while you actually delved deep into the motives and picked them apart to create a thematically consistent story. Instead of four campaigns, I would have done one giant campaign with four viewpoints, and the story would have been the climax of the entire Progenitor Virus Myth Arc up to this point, tying up all the loose ends and featuring as many returning characters as possible. The last third of the story would have been heavily revised, and all the characters would have reunited at a coastal Neo-Umbrella base close to the city for the final battle, where Leon and Chris would have learned the truth about Carla (Jake would have still been captured, though). Meanwhile, other BSAA teams, including one led by Jill (with potentially other characters from the Revelations games) would have been sent into Tatchi to contain the outbreak with assistance from TerraSave, but they won't be the focus of the story. Back at the base, Simmons would have been revealed to have followed everyone there and would have fought Leon, Ada and Helena as Chris and Piers head down into an underwater part of the base to rescue Jake and Sherry. But Ada is separated from the others by Carla, who infects herself with the C-Virus to give her an edge. Ada still kills her, then returns to help Leon and Helena. An earlier version of the story had Carla merging with Haos, but I eventually discarded it because it was too much. Below the surface, the same thing plays out as in the original game, Piers dies saving Chris while Ustanak is killed by Jake and Sherry. The three survivors then escape via various methods and reunite on the surface just in time to be picked up by the BSAA, Leon and Helena. In the aftermath, Jake cooperates with the BSAA and a vaccine for the C-Virus is created and distributed (ironically by air dispersal into the atmosphere), which can neutralize the Progenitor Virus at its most basic level. In return, he takes on a new identity, while Sherry spends some time with Leon and Helena (and maybe Claire too). Chris continues fighting in the BSAA alongside Jill and his team, maybe he meets up with Barry, Rebecca and Sheva, and as per the late president's wishes, the details of the Raccoon City Incident are declassified, putting a final nail in the coffin for Umbrella. As for Ada, she destroys all traces of Carla's work and watches over Leon from afar, knowing that he's finally moved on from her. It's not perfect, but it's a pretty basic idea that was basically created out of the fact that I was just tired of seeing a neverending story where no one really wins. At some point, I just wanted the story to end, and this was it. What do you think?

One thing that always bothered me about the criticisms of this story were people that complained about Jake's feelings where he holds Chris at gunpoint. Out of everything to complain about in 6's story, that's not one of them. How Jake handles that scenario is realistic and it resonates well with someone that's had an absent father in their life. You know from in-game files that 1) his mother tried to reiterate that he shouldn't hate his father, 2) he never knew Wesker, 3) he was looking for a father figure elsewhere (as seen in the file regarding the merc captain that sold out his team). He may harbor a lot of bitterness and hate for Wesker (especially upon learning what the man did) but that doesn't mean he can't be irrationally angry that Chris is admitting point blank that he's the one that killed him and stole from him the chance to have any sort of closure. Jake has - in the course of this game - learned who his father was (a man that his mother was enamored with enough to try and suggest to him not to be mad that he was absent from his life), found out what horrific things his father had done, not had time to process that or reconcile the image he has of his mother/what impression this man left on his mother, and then being confronted by the man that killed his father. He wasn't thinking logically. Emotions in situations like this are always messy. Just because he hates the idea of what his father was doesn't mean that he doesn't feel angry that Chris took from him the chance to meet the man himself.
@teriosshadow176 ай бұрын
I can understand Jake''s reaction to extent, but the game doesn't really delve deep into his thoughts about his father and due to game's poor pacing, Jake may come off as bipolar idiot to many. Yes, there are files that touch upon Jake's feelings about his father, but that one isn't even included in the game, but behind internet website. Jake even doesn't mention her mother throughout the entire story.

Pickle ! Honestly reordering Jake and Leon's campaigns already makes the plot a lot better to follow. That was a great video, and I think you've gained a sub ! While it would certainly be a bit more boring to ditch having four distinct campaigns, I genuinely think the most engaging and coherent way to experience the story would be in a somewhat linear order in which plot points are, well... introduced at the beginning, and resolved at the end. Beginning by : Chris Chapter 2 : Outside of the fact that it's the first chronologically, I think it would be the best possible opening, as it introduces elements and mysteries like the J'avo and the C-Virus, Carla, and sets up Chris' trauma and his antagonism towards "Ada". The bad ending leaves you wanting for more. The quick appearance of Sherry and Jake allows a delayed segue into their first 3 chapters, at the end of which we learn that they are headed to China, which is a perfect transition back to Chris' campaign, from Chapter 1 to Chapter 4 (ignoring ch.2). As soon as the bomb explodes and the blue mist smothers Tatchi, we blueball the audience from the climax, and we make the suspense about Leon and Helena's fate linger on for a while by flashbacking to their whole campaign from Chapter 1 to 4. (the only problem being that it slows the pacing to a crawl... and we may get the impression that Carla dies too soon) Just like your campaign re-order, it moves most of the big reveals and explanations (Simmons, Ada's clone) to *after* the other campaigns set them up as mysteries. After that, I really wouldn't know whether to put Jake's or Chris' remaining chapter(s) next ; I would say Chris then Jake, since Jake's ending is the one that resolves the virus situation. The last chapter being Leon's, because Simmons, with his plot-relevance, his 1.000.000 HP, and more transformations than Goku, makes for the best final boss. Ada's campaign really only works if you put it at the very last, because everything in it relies on you having knowledge of all of the other campaigns prior. I really don't know if it makes that much sense ? Since I haven't played the game in... a good while hahaha.

RE 2/3 were remade 21 years later, RE4 18, in 2019, 2020 and 2023 respectively. Aside from RE3R in 2020, the titles came out in 2 year increments, 7 in 17, 2R in 19, Village in 21, 4R in 23. Considering no game so far has been announced to come out in 25, they might have slowed down the production schedule. If the new RE comes out in 26, I wouldn't expect RE5R earlier than like, 28-29, which again would be 20 years after the original. In 29, RE6 would already be 17 years old, meaning that its remake coming in early 2030s wouldn't be far-fetched.

There’s so much character potential in RE6 that I feel they just didn’t utilise enough (which isn’t surprising given it’s an action/horror game and not a character/narrative driven one but I can still mourn). Jake and Piers are literally my favourite characters in all of Resident Evil. Jake being a mercenary with a suppressed heart of gold is such a good base; you can see in how he interacts with Sherry how much he wants to have those soft feelings, the same he used to have before his mother died and he became cynical and hardened by life. He is the personification of nature vs nurture: is the love he was shown through his mother enough to offset his father’s influence? They needed to actually show him slipping, giving into his anger more (he’d be entitled to it after what the world’s done to him), being more ruthless with his enemies, have him actually be on that edge then have Chris admit he killed Wesker. Does he give into the rage he’d let flourish and kill the man who killed his in-name-only father or does he understand that’s where /he’s/ heading? That he’ll end up on the other side of Chris’ gun, turned into the monster Wesker became? Piers gets a lot of flack for bringing Chris back in the fight when he has amnesia but he’s only a lieutenant; I’d bet anything that he was forced to bring him back in by the top brass in the BSAA. There’s another bio terrorist attack on the horizon, of course they want their top zombie killing soldier on the ground fighting. I wish they’d shown Piers being pressured by them; he knows having Chris in the field is a liability and he’s proven right when they lose everyone all over again (people Piers spent 6 months with, people he was leading as Chris’ second in command, why the hell did they not show him having a bigger reaction to that??). He pushes back against Chris’ bullshit which I love but they could’ve put a moment of him /admitting/ Chris shouldn’t be there, that he’s not fit for this but he had no choice but to bring him back. That he’s making bad calls but also that he’s worried about him and explore the betrayal he feels; even if it’s not Chris’ fault, emotions are messy and Piers can’t help but blame him for abandoning him after he lost everyone; forcing him to step up and take charge when he wasn’t ready. They do Piers a bit more emotional justice than others - him going from a hothead who Chris needs to calm to the levelheaded one trying to reach Chris through his grief hurts so good - but it’s completely overridden by his pointless death that only existed bc they wrote themselves into a corner with Chris wanting to retire and didn’t know how to make him change his mind other than there literally being no one left to succeed him. Chris is completely wasted in this, he ends the game exactly as it starts: alone. What was the point? What did he learn? He had PTSD induced amnesia but when he finally confronted it, nothing got /better/. He didn’t get to fix his mistakes, didn’t get a chance to grow or heal; he started as an optimistic captain who wants to keep his team alive just to lose them and he ended as broken captain who lost everyone again but has to keep fighting bc there’s no one else left to do it. That moment with Jake, admitting he killed Wesker and giving him the opportunity to kill him in return could easily be read as a suicidal gambit and that’s /before/ he loses Piers. He’s sober and walks into the light but that doesn’t reflect any of what his mindset should be?? He should be worse than he started but knows that running from himself will just get more people killed; he should’ve had a somber ending, something that matches his energy in RE8 (“Goddamn when does it end?”), fighting for the sake of fighting instead of having any kind of belief in himself or hope for the world’s future. I just wish we spent more time in their heads and exploring their relationships with each other, especially since it’s literally a co-op game and working together is the entire point

Ah finally got around to watching it I really LOVE this rewrite, it stays true to the core ideas and resolves issue with telling of them in the original I'll leave here with couple notes and/or trivias The reason why Leon is so distraught over killing the President in the opening of his campaign (beyond what is shown in the flashback to us in the White House) is because they actually know each other for a very long time, he was the CIA/DOD Interogator that questioned Leon right after him, Sherry and Claire were picked up by the national guard patrol around the exclusion zone perimeter in the aftermath of destruction of raccoon city, as we're shown in the Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, City of the Dead scenario which is a retelling of the OG RE2 (its a soft remake instead of 2019's hard remake) so they've know each other for the past 15 years before he would win the elections, they both knew the truth about Raccoon and they both were ready to finally say it outloud, to dismay of certain members of the goverment, among whom was certain National Security Advisor by the name of Derek Simmons And speaking of Simmons, there's lil bit more info to him. He used to be on the NatSec council in the 98' and was one of the key voices advocating for the sterilisation of the Raccoon City so when Carla in the rewrite says about how Derek will respond to an attack on the family at 53:05 it mirrors his resolvement of the Raccoon problem This also likely boosted his career since a huge chunk of administration in the 1998 was forced resign giving him more power and faster movement up the ladder. Now unrelated, its very possible he was already NatSec Advisor under President Graham during the events of RE4 so take that for what you will P.S. if they ever remake 6 i hope they expand a little bit on the Tall Oaks itself, i really like that location compared to the cathedral and undergrounds which, maybe its just me but they felt really, unnecessary long, especially second one Thats all, unless i remember something then i'd expand

I think what bothered me most about PTSD/Amesiac Chria is that way back during RE1/RE0; we establish Bravo team as characters and actually spend time with them. Hell, Forrest and Chris are kind of friendly rivals in the S.D. Perry novel of the game. They all die in brutal fashion and these are people Chris knew inside and outside of his job. Him losing his team again to Carla should trigger PTSD based on what happened at The Spencer Estate. He could tell Piers about what happened; that they went in to solve a string of murders, but had no idea what they were actually walking into. He saw his teammates, his friends, ripped apart by zombies and mutated animals. He can also bring up that he thought he had lost Jill too, but finding and saving her brought him back, but what Carla did brought back that despair again. Piers can be that guy that brings him back, as he mostly does anyways. Losing Piers should make him kind of numb, but at the end of the campaign, he can be at Piers funeral and grave, lamenting his losses, but have Jill and/or Sheva show up to comfort him and remind him that Piers made a choice to save him and also remind him that she will always have his back as does Sheva. We can then see maybe Piers' family talk briefly to him about how Piers admired Chris and looked up to him. He can then realize Piers would not want him wallowing in guilt and self-pity, but to get back up and fight not for the ones he lost, but the ones who are still there. Chris is largely the flagship main character of the franchise and for Capcom to screw up his character so badly irritates me to no end. I do like how you have arcs with all of the characters so that they undergo a change or at least a form of growth. I also could have gone without Simmons obessing over Ada and just wanting to maintain the Illuminati status quo with framing Leon and Helena and wiping out Tall Oaks as a cover up as that was all the motivation he needed to be a menace to the living. The game's main issue though and the thing that mattered most to me was gameplay. All 4 campaigns felt like different games entirely to such a degree, it felt like RE6 had no real identity. I recently played RE5 with a friend and I have a stronger appreciation for the game. Anyhooot, great video dood!

Easiest way to fix RE6 is to not kill of Wesker in RE5.
@KevinHelpUs9 ай бұрын
True, but then we’re all dead?
@EmeraldFatalis9 ай бұрын
@@KevinHelpUs Idk, the ending of RE5 always bothered me. Wesker using the Orboboros on himself was very unlike him, he's always been smarter than that. His end was too much like every other major villain in the series. Final boss should have been Wesker infecting someone else, not actually himself. Let the pawns fight it out while he escapes with the results, listing the Orbororos as a failure or success. Wesker is to good a villain and the franchise has been working to hard to make up for his loss, many bad villains along the way (most in the movies).
@SaberRexZealot9 ай бұрын
@@EmeraldFatalis I disagree. RE7 and 8 had some fantastic villains. Wesker was great but 5 was a fine time to kill him off, just could’ve been done better - he’s barely in the game honestly. 6’s story wouldn’t have been fixed by throwing him into the mix - more characters is not what that game needed. I don’t really give a shit about the movies because their quality has never been consistent with the games - just a bunch of fan service. I love Wesker but I don’t miss him at all; he had his time. If he was still the main big bad after all this time and they kept contriving reasons for him to get away at the end of the game the series would get boring pretty fast. That’s some scooby doo shit.
@EmeraldFatalis9 ай бұрын
@@SaberRexZealot I do agree that RE7 & 8 had fantastic villains (notice I didn't cite them in previous comment), but they both kind of fall outside the rest of the Resident Evil cannon (like side stories). The movies i was referring to (CG movies not live action crap) were all made post Wesker death and the villains in them were just as lame as the ones in RE6. I don't feel 5 was the right time to kill Wesker because he'd only actually appeared in Code Veronica. All the rest of the games we was working through Ada or others. 5 was his first appearance since. It would have been a good game for "Oh crap he's starting to make his move now" then RE6 would possibly final fight with him (change RE6 story completely). Yes it's bad that "Oh he's escaped" but remember it was only his 2nd appearance to the heroes (not counting RE1). Too soon to kill off IMO. Everyone forgot about Outbreak. It was the first MP RE game and a unique one with the adlib system and a variety of characters. Gonna be completely honest, the very first Resident Evil Game I ever played was 6. I was absolutely infatuated with it and not one person could tell me it deserved anything else. I bought it several times, once for the 360, a whole 3 times for differing Xbox One's (long story), and again for the PC most recently. I still found myself loving everything about it everytime I played it, but now, 10 years since the first time i ever did: I can actually see the flaws the game had and still love it for what it is. So in terms of restructuring the game I've never given it thought until recently and I think you honestly did it perfectly. Good job dude, this is the first ever video I've seen from you and it's sure to not be the last. Can't wait to watch more Pickle level content. :›

I think reviewing Resident Evil games are tough because they've changed so much over the years, and whatever you were exposed to first (and presumably enjoyed) is usually what ends up being 'peak Resident Evil' for you. For me, that was the Raccoon City trilogy, but 5 and 6 exposed a lot of new people to the series. And there's no right answer about what's better! This was just my thoughts on how 6 could have been reorganized to make it flow better.

It just rubbed me the wrong way that nobody from the U.S. government came looking for Sherry missing that long?! 😂 Take notes Capcom. Also Leon in the remake is more emotionally guarded against Ada unlike his RE2 and RE4 original counterpart. Leon could still be protective of her, more as a friend or fellow survivor.

Honestly I think adding Claire to game with “daughter” Sherry there, gives the ultimate “choose the right girl or become the villain dude”.
@KHAT-m8u9 ай бұрын
@@li-limandragon9287 Of course you are a remakes player and know nothing about the originals or their story like those who made your remakes. Ada was there for Leon in the original Resident Evil 2. Ada, with her badly injured body, wandered around without any weapon or ammunition in a place where danger is in every corner that will feed of her vulnerability but she kept searching for Leon and a way to help him. She was seriously injured and with a broken body, and the place was filled with sirens alert of timed self-destruct, and yet Leon was her top priority, she wasn't only looking for him, but also carried an RPG when she found it with her wounded body for him without knowing if he was still there and had not even left the place! That is, she battled her body and her instincts for him out of gratitude for what he did for her and the effort he made to help others. She was the only one who appreciated Leon for his truth and kindness. She saw how he tried to save Ben and his insistence on this, even though Ben was stubborn and rude to Leon and did not want to be saved, and how he did not raise his weapon on any civilian survivor, even if a weapon was raised on him (and the Leon “which I don’t prefer naming him that” in your remake made Ben beg for him to save him A CIVILIAN! and refused although there was a loud monstrous noises approaching them and yet he did not have the compassion to care and stand there watching Ben being crushed in front of him! he even raised his weapon in the face of every survivor he faced except a cop in uniform, his actions don’t match his claims, he’s literally a hypocrite, entitled, rude and exploiter who spit profanities every couple minutes with no meaningful words to say and an immature who isn’t the original Leon or even close to him), and how is Leon still in this place, sacrificing and suffering in order to save civilians, not because his job command him to do so, but because it is his nature and his goodness. Otherwise, he would not have put himself through all of this on the first day of his job for something that seems like a loss. So she treasured Leon and appreciated his kindness, to her he is a good person that only deserves goodness, thus she doesn’t bare any harm to him, what she feels for him translated in her actions farther on in the original 4 and 6. thus she was always the one who came back to him and protect him no matter what even in her worst condition, and Claire did not do that for him, so tell me how Claire is the right woman for Leon? She doesn’t have anything with Leon so I didn’t know where this stupidity came from and if only IF there was… Leon will be long gone like Steve, maybe you should hope that Steve will return so that your Claire be happy. And sherry isn’t Claire’s daughter nor she adopted her she literally abandoned Leon and sherry in the original 2 in the desert and continued her journey of finding her brother since that was her goal all along. Then the government held Leon and sherry. And No, Ada is not a mercenary and she did not want to sell the G-virus. Rather, she is a spy and an agent for a secret third organization, and she always thwarts the plans of evil people, not the other way around. she didn’t even know about the G-virus in the original 2 until later on, she was confused and scared just as others, and her reaction to Annette saying “every G-virus a bio weapons including Williams has the ability to create and implant embryos into other creatures” shows how good Ada is. Ada never lied to Leon or deceived him, but rather hid her identity because at first she didn’t or shouldn’t have any reason to tell him, however she felt guilty over not telling him this even when she shouldn’t have. As time passed being by his side she grow to be so fond of him and opened her heart to him in the original 2 after he saved her for the third time, she was grateful and worried about him and told him to leave her and save himself but he insisted to stay with her and look after her out of his good nature which she responded to with “ but you will be in danger if you stay with me! I know I only know you for short period of time but I really enjoyed being with you, I know I’m not capable of caring about anyone but I don’t want to lose you ”. And the only moments in which Ada pretended to do something other than what she wanted was when she and Leon met for the first time in 4. And in the end, when she took the virus from him because she was not supposed to be seen with him, she put up a scene to protect Leon and herself. In their first meeting in 4, all she wanted was to let him know that she is here with him, but she had to make a scene to protect him and quickly run before she and Leon was spotted and prosecuted. Other than these moments, we witnessed how worried she was about Leon. From the first moment she saw him in the village, she literally helped him at the beginning of 4 and later on more than once and saved him from Krauser and even killed him to protect Leon, and my favorite scene is how she filled Saddler’s chest with bullets in the same place where he hit Leon. So the more Leon is actually hurt, we see Ada’s bullets on the one who hurt him. Ada’s scenes in the originals show how important Leon is to her and she did all this sincerely for Leon and not as in the remakes. And Leon loved her deeply for what she did for him and once said “she’s like apart of me I can’t let go” she was the only one who valued his kindness and appreciated him and saw him beyond his uniform and cared for a cop risking his life for others and did things for him no one other did or could. Those who have not played the originals and are superficial and lack comprehension of the obvious will never understand the love between Ada and Leon. Ada and Jill are the best female characters in the series (I also love Sheva for me she is so beautiful and her beauty is alluring and I love her character which I’m sure they will also destroy her in the upcoming remake of 5) and their characters were destroyed and wronged in the remakes which I hoped they never existed. Even Leon and his love was destroyed and wronged. The remakes are a spit on the faces of shinji and his team that made originals Resident Evil and those who loved the originals and played it for years. It is a disgrace and disrespectful gesture towards them. Originals players loves Ada and feel what Leon feels for her because the players are technically Leon and she is there with them. So I cannot take Ada haters opinion at all or seriously, hating Ada means hating Leon. And since they destroyed Jill I’m sure they will destroy her more in the upcoming remake of 5 and all the bond she has with Chris and the sacrifice she did for him. The new one is insufferable and unlikeable (like most characters in the remakes except Mr.X) so I don’t know or imagine how this version of Jill going to push wasker away from Chris to the window and fall with him into the sea. I’m sure instead of the original Jill screaming with “No” in concern for Chris before rushing to push wesker the remake one will angrily spit profanity. And I cannot imagine her throwing herself to protect Chris at all. And she will not say “I’m so sorry” to Chris and Chris saying “it’s okay” as in the original when Jill finally regained her memory after battling Chris and sheva and that was the first thing she said. And of course Chris will be rude in it, bored and annoyed most of the time as if he was forced to open his mouth to speak as wesker Ada and Jill in the remakes. What a disgrace.

I feel like Jake is trying to find family in some sense through some of the interaction between him and Sherry, I also feel like Chris is struggling with a self sacrificing nature & doesn't so much regret killing Wesker as he regrets taking a father from his child. As we've seen in Resident Evil 8, he's terrible at communicating his feelings & intentions & so you kind of have to piece together what his attitude is based on those turbulent interactions. I find that they both came off as suspicious of the other & it was more than anything them reconciling the way men do, screaming and showing respect by not killing each other. That said its kind of me reaching in deep and just given that I saw it that way doesn't mean it was spelled out clearly or even is the cannonic authorial intent.

I think while doing these can help fix the story, what could help the story is take out 3 campaigns and make it one. Rotate between each different character and structure the game how you want narratively tell it so the story is told in the right order. You can start with Jake, then go to Chris then to Leon and keep rotating back each chapter rotation. Decisions you make in one person’s segment affects the other characters in other chapters. You can have 10 chapters(3 per character set) and 1 chapter at the finale with all the characters rotating on who you control when. Or you can have 15 chapters if you have enough story to tell and don’t need extra buffer. After the game is complete, an Ada section is unlocked or that could be DLC.

The funny thing is Ada’s campaign WAS unlocked after completing the other three at first, but after the poor reception to the game, they unlocked everything - including Ada’s campaign, from the start.

I’ve heard Re9 could have the world turned into a post apocalyptic setting. Would be a great way to bring about the main cast back into the picture who haven’t seen for a while aside from Chris.

It would be nice to know what happened to everyone else, especially since Chris is going down a dark arc in 7 and 8.

With the way bioterrorism does not seem to be dying down anytime soon (hell, it seems to be getting worse), RE9 taking place in a post apocalypse seems depressingly likely.

You almost didn't make a change. I watch to the end. Nice story telling but you didn't change something.

I…made many changes?

I will tell how I would fix RE6. let's start by making an actual survival horror game and not some generic 3rd person shooter Left 4 Dead wannabe.

1 thing i think they made a real mistake with was killing Wesker off in RE5... Resident Evil went down hill after that! On a side note the crossover sections in RE6 were the same because it would allow 4 players to team up although hardly anyone ever got to those points to allow a 4 player team up! Also nobody & i mean NOBODY ever questioned why Ada's outfit changed throughout... like literally NOBODY thought "Huh shes changed outfits again...!"

RE6's story has always been comical to me so I'm excited to see what you would change, especially with how great the DS3 video was.

I’ve heard someone say this before (can’t remember who but I’m pretty sure it was another KZbinr) but if the Chris campaign was changed from playing as Chris to being ABOUT Chris it could make so many things different, the person said that you could be playing as Jill and Claire looking for Chris and have them meet up with their common goal, and have their first (in pretty sure) ever meeting in a game, it would change a few things especially with the story, but with Sherry, Claire, and Leon all in this game it could make them have some sort of reunion and reflect on raccoon city, and Jill could realize she was there with them, just at a different place, it would have to go more in depth than this but as a slight overview this makes the game seem better to me, and it would make the og4 meet up sometime, especially if they all save Chris from something at the end

I like it! Gives the other characters a front seat for once and we'd see how they would tackle a situation instead of Chris.

Maybe i was to young when i played this game, but i had the most fun just seeing all my favorites hero together and gosh the voice acting and the graphics, and the gameplay was peak resident evil for real!

Piers had SO MUCH potential (just like sheva) He had a way better storyline and is a likable character in the manga and Biohazard stage show... only for him to be unreasonably killed in RE6???. If the writers from Capcom were creative enough, they would've turned Piers into a significant character, him becoming captain and possibly creating a team of his own in the BSAA and plus getting introduced to his members who are NEW INTERESTING characters that may be used in future projects... Chris shouldn't necessarily be retired, sidetracked or killed but could become Piers' battlefield consultant or something while remaining as the main character of the franchise. Chris would still be in the spotlight even if they kept Piers alive, so why did they have to sacrifice Piers for the sake of the other's character development when there are SO MANY ways to do it better and rationally?
@KevinHelpUs9 ай бұрын
I cut this for time, but I thought Piers represented who Chris used to be, who he wanted to get back to being. So when Piers catches the virus, it symbolizes that the part of Chris he wants back is gone.
