@@SpaceForEdit It went well!! I've got the commission! It's 2 residential properties and I pretty much did everything you mentioned, but I didn't have a laser measurer, and I'm yet to write up my notes. I have no idea how to price this job though :s

@@bukonla AMAZING! Well done and what an exciting project as well 👍 Is it design fees you're struggling with or providing the cost plan for install? If it's design fees then have you seen my Design Fee video? I broke down my strategy there, it might be useful 🙂

@@SpaceForEdit Hiya! I was struggling with the design fee. I've watched your video on pricing though and that really helped. I left out a price for the instalment phase, and said once we get to that stage I will issue a new scope of works and fee. Because at this stage I have no idea what it will detail.

@@bukonla That's a really good approach! And in case you end up doing more work in this phase you could recoup some costs later 👍 Are you on insta? Would love to see your work ☺️

Thank you for the tips! A question what if the client wants the design that is absolutely non-beneficial for the project. The ideas of changing it he takes very negatively.
@SpaceForEdit5 жыл бұрын
Hi Sasha! I know we've discussed this already on Instagram but in case anyone else is reading this then I'll reply again. So to answer the question- first of all come from a place of service and not anger so that your client relationship healthy. And then see how you can show the value of your proposal and maybe how it will not be beneficial to the client from a practical point of view to go ahead with this suggestion. All you can do is add value and educate. If they still want to go ahead with their vision make sure you state this on your drawings and confirm on email so that you have covered your back.

Heyy! Yay, amazing that you're finding this useful 👏👏 And welcome to the fam!! 😊 You can definitely record a meeting and even film it as long as you ask for your clients permission and they are happy with it 👍

Thanks for tips . But I get so nurvous to ask for fees bcoz of fear of miss the project or opportunity in that case what to do?

You're welcome Hemant 👍! It gets easier with time. But from day one you must remember that you are running a business at the end of the day a business make money from their services/products. You will never get if you don't ask. And even if the client decides not to go with you, at least you know that you can move on to the next one 👍 It's a numbers game, nothing personal 💯 Go get em!
