Good tips. Especially in this heat, I love having a bike to jump on to go around the corner for a quick trip to the store.

Hi secondlife! Living in the outskirts of Sihanoukville since 15 years,your video is absolutely fine for me. Simple and accurate,I was in Bangkok long time ago,driving a 400cc kawa,and now,in Cambodia,my Honda click(125cc) is perfect for this country driving habits. I hope that beginners will be convinced to follow your advice.😊

Thanks a lot! I am moving this summer to Phnom Penh for some years and was just searching for the kind of motorcycle I would love to drive and whether good helmets are available. All questions answered😂 Can't wait to drive. Maybe see you at an expat event...

I found your KZbin channel as this came up on my feed, probably because of algorithms, I was looking for a moto to buy. When I moved here 4 months ago, I said I would never drive anything in Phnom Penh. After 4 months of tuktuks I think I can do it. Thanks for the tips, especially about the helmet.

How about theft with that phone holder. They won't steal your phone while idling?
@SecondLifeTravels1 Жыл бұрын
No one has ever tried to steal my phone. Anyway, thieves would steal a phone from people who have no chance of catching up, such as people in tuk tuks or pedestrians, not someone who can chase them down on a moto.

Great and practical advice, will be back in PP in a few weeks and will be buying a scooter and despite having a 1000cc Kawasaki in the UK , I will be buying an auto scooter but wanting to stay shinny side up and safe so some good pointers from your video here. Thanks for the tip re where to buy a decent helmet so I def owe you a beer if see you about but of course minus any scooters .

I been wondering about that particular 150cc make/model. Wondering how it would hold up to being driven across country trip (usa), if one sticks to roads where speed limit is 55mph. Could it stand up to long distance trips of 1200 miles or more?
@SecondLifeTravels1 Жыл бұрын
There are Westerners in other countries that have done that. We're going to Kratie on that thing in a few weeks. I'll let you know how it goes. 2 adults and a baby.

So funny! I lived in PP for 2 years. One accident on my dirt bike. There was was expression I knew of " It's not if, it's when you have an accident then how much and how badly are you hurt" I hit a car, stupid me, I just got my clutch repaired, I my Khmer friend, Dara was sitting in front of his shop bike shop. I hammered out of the intersection, hit a car infront of a police station. I tore the bumper off the car, smashed my elbow. In the end. I paid pram dollar because Dara knew the cops and I walked away scott free- sort of.

Wise tips, it seems to be driving a bike in Cambodia is even worst than The Philippines, talking about PH I do have a Filipino driver license. As far as I know are good for any SE Asian country, no need of International DL (AESIAN countries, included Cambodia). My question: Do I need to get the Cambodian driver license if I drive a over 125 cc? Thanks!!!!

@SecondLifeTravels1 Жыл бұрын
@@cryptoblaze1983 Technically yes, you do need a license to drive anything over 125cc. Lots of people don't, though. I personally would. You can also buy a PCX 125, which is identical but with a 125cc engine. You do not need a license for that.
