Thank you much this video was very helpful. This is my 2nd year of Colorguard. I started my senior year of high school and am going into my Freshman year of college. My background in dance helped a lot when joining Guard.

Band camp is tomorrow and i still can’t figure out how not to be scared of the helicopter/horizontal toss. It’s in 2 of our routines. I’m screwed😬

@@Monkey_With_Anxiety it is completely understandable to be scared! The main thing is (as an instructor and as someone who's been in your shoes before) the best thing you can do is try the new skill. Its better to fail at it a million times / toss and not catch than to not try it at all! If you need to, try approaching it with all the toss information you've been given and just shield yourself or step back after you toss just to get used to it leaving your hands and it'll help over come that mental block!
