I have a 8 hour layover in Istanbul next week, traveling as a female alone, what/where do you recommend in terms of public transportation, gift shopping, and food, sightseeing, and food? doesn't have to be fancy but just something low-key and easy for a quick 8-hour trip. thank you to any suggestions!

A correction. Your knowledge about dressing is wrong. Because turkey is a secular country, not a islamic country. That's why, whoever wears what they want. In this country islamic laws are completely invalid. Totaly secular.
