If your any type of good driver you know making a delivery on a restricted road is fine if that’s where your going.

I used to deliver landscape stone and limestone for building homes in new subdivisions from Wisconsin to Illinois and we used to have too go on roads like that too get too the subdivision and as long as we had directions from the contractor telling us how to get there we didn’t have any trouble and we had three axle dump trucks with flatbed and removable sides and pulling a pup trailer behind the only trouble they ever had is on Illinois if you have a tag axle or a lift axle which you usually lift up when you dump and keep it up on your way home but in Illinois if they ever see you running with the axle up then they will ticket you the next time you bring a load down there because they will make you weigh with it up and you won’t have enough axels too bridge the weight

You're causing flashbacks, I could smell the diesel as you were refueling and I last drove anything back in 1999, had to give it up because I'm a Type 2 Diabetic and I lost the feeling my feet and couldn't feel the pedals, so I gave up my license in 2000. so now at the age of 71, I live on KZbin. I'm a Canadian Military Veteran, 9 years in the Engineers, 3 1/2 years in Germany with the NATO Forces, so my back, hips, shoulders and feet are shot.

We have a weight limit on a street that once allowed trucks. The mayor that got elected lives on that street and got an 8 ton limit on it, because she didn’t like the noise. It is very inconvenient for us local guys that haul.

Might contact your town TV station and have pull a FIA on how the weight limit was changed. If it’s a state or federal highway, you can go to the state DOT and ask basis for change.

My dad had a 24' wilderness travel trailer by Fleetwood and the memories all came flooding back in to my head. Just a little fact about my dad he worked in the print shop at the Fleetwood assembly plant and he was the one that printed the owners manuals for the wilderness travel trailers and the trailer that we had still had the original owners manual he was responsible for the printing of

I used to drive local delivering building materials for houses the truck had a 73,500 max when I saw a road with a low weight limit like that I treated it like that was for through traffic not delivery traffic unless there was a bridge or something of that nature on that road……. It was the only way to get the building materials to the job site.

@@Apittslifepossible or its just to limit heavy traffic down the road edit: i found the road, no bridges or anything but least google images from june 2022 its has all the hallmarks of "we just patch the road and impose a weight limit" so they don't have to do more then patching to make it last as long as possible. Its not great shape.

Have a few construction customers like that. 6 ton. 10 ton weight limits. Its funny because some are on a farm and working outta the house/ farm. Others are in a business park of some kind. They're fine as long as everything's pertaining to the business and still others are jobsites. Meanwhile? I saw a Lake Wallapaupack sticker on the camper. Nice! The folks didn't live far from there in ""Lord's Valley "" PA right outside of Hawley. Older I get? The smaller the world becomes. Let the old horse go. It's time. Safe travels and God bless you!

The curved dash configuration on Orwell brings back memories when I was at that age of wanting to drive a big rig in ireland and use to receive literature from Peterbilt from the late 70s and 80s and saw them wrap round dash and red / blue upholstery all over the cab like space age .

pretty sure those limit signs are ment to keep through traffic but if you are doing a drop off then you can ignore them if you legitimint business that requires use of that road
