When I listen to viewer submitted stories/Reddit personal account stories by the handful of channels that do them, I constantly think to myself "How is it that so many people are unarmed and get themselves into super shifty situations". Seriously guys, you don't have to go through a ton of hoops (in America) to own a gun and if you are allowed, you need to own one. You have to be 18+ to buy a rifle, 21+ to buy a pistol (some states allow minors to own them so long as parents buy them and are aware), can't be a felon, can't be convinced of domestic abuse and can't have been institutionalized at a mental hospital. Depending on the state, getting a conceal carry license is 1 class and being able to hit a target at 5 yards (some states you don't need a license, some states it's harder), you need a further background check and to get your fingerprints taken. If you can't own a "firearm", for what ever reason, again depending on the state, you may be allowed to own cap and ball revolver (like the cowboys used, they're pretty much a regular gun that uses black powder instead of smokeless and you load the primer, powder and projectile separately so they aren't legally considered firearms), you can get them for cheap too. Keep yourself protected and stay safe
