Let's hear your reasons why riding a bike is awesome! 👇 And as always, thank you for watching!

One of the reason is that concentration power increases while riding, I like that.
@thethrottletube23 күн бұрын
It's crazy how mentally fatigued you feel after a looooong day of riding isn't it! All that concentrating takes it out of you for sure. 🏍💨

@AnthosKlox that's the best reply so far. You should try some long trips. I am Airbnb'ing a cabin in 1 weeks just for the ride and to get some drone footage. Can't wait to film it for here too!

It unlocks a world most people overlook. You'll stop in places, meet people and see nature that in a car you'd probably have overlooked. There's even little things like "oh there must be a creekbed right here" because the air gets cool all the sudden, or "those flowers smell incredible" and around the bend is a wildflower field that pops up. All the tech that's interfered in our lives gets stripped away and it's just you, your machine, and the road in front of you. I've been riding for 20 years and would be a completely different person if I never swung a leg over.
@thethrottletube23 күн бұрын
Amen to this. The amount of random side quests a bike can take you on is insane. And to still have this mentality after over 20 years of riding. That gives such a small fry like me hope that I will still be enjoying riding later on in my years! Thanks for the awesome words. Ride safe!

Dont ever let anyone tell you it will save you money. Youll fall in love and spend hundreds if not thousands a year on gas riding no where
@thethrottletube23 күн бұрын
Shhhh, don't tell them that. That's the surprise we all get after 6 months and we look back out our outgoings like "wtf is going on here" 😅! That's actually a good point. When you factor in customizing your bike also.... it can get as expensive as you are willing to cry over 😉

My other vehicle is an F250 turbo diesel. So my bike is definitely cheaper than that beast to drive everyday. But then I don’t ride just to go nowhere
@irachoi894422 күн бұрын
Don’t even get me started on the gear 😭 before i could even get my license or a bike i had to get a helmet, boots, pants, jacket, gloves.. then the seasons changed before i had my exams so new gloves, new jacket etc..

I have to calculate 1500-1800eur every year, just in fuel Europe with 1.6-1.8€/L(7.4$ a gallon for US ppl)with a 5.5L/100km(42.7us mpg) economy adds up after a while

One of the first things that struck me about riding is how social it is. Everyone can see all of my body language since im outside, so I can can shrug, laugh, point, give had signals. It can be very interactive. Been putting on miles to get as good as I can to survive my first few years. If I go to auction sites, I notice lots of those bikes have 3000-5000 miles on them.
@thethrottletube23 күн бұрын
That's a very good point. I never thought of the body language side of things! It makes sense that you can cominicate to others on the road with ease on a bike. Such a good point!!!

I just started about 2-3 months ago. I went out and purchased a new bike, put 3K miles on it, and am looking to purchase another one that can be a bit faster. I love the new bikes with all of the safety features. I know veteran riders are not a fan, but the ability to dial a bike back and turn on the smoke when you are ready is key IMHO. When I started this, I did not think I would like it this much. The freedom, feedback, and clarity I get from riding has me craving it more and more. I am addicted to it, not gonna lie. I enjoy riding in the city, highway, and even dense traffic. Traffic does not bother me and I cannot legally lane filter in my state, so might as well get used to it. I have not attempted to ride in a group, I enjoy the solo ride. Not against a group ride, just not something I have actively looked into.
@thethrottletube23 күн бұрын
Welcome to the club 🏍💨! 3k miles in 3 months is pretty good going. I hate that I'll never get that first week of riding feeling ever again. I knew I was hooked the as soon as I started rolling forward with my feet up! Keep putting the miles down man. At that pace you'll be experienced in no time 😎

Im in the process of getting a scrambler 400x , even though its hella crowded on the roads here , its still worth the feeling of cruising when you do get that free road

The ktm 690 should an absolute beast on the offroad. My commute mainly involves city riding with a bit of highway sprinkled in.but the state of roads in my city make scrambler 400x the perfect beast to deal with it. @@thethrottletube

@arjitsingh6539 yeah I think the 400 would be way more fun to commute on for sure! I like the idea of the KTM for the height. And I bet the 690 will wheelie like no tomorrow 😁

I started commuting with a motorcycle this year. My watch says the commute burns an extra 400cal out of my day. Now that it's raining and cold and I put the bike away, I think I'm getting heavier...
@thethrottletube23 күн бұрын
Who needs gym when you can go for a spin, right?!! And I forget that being in New Zealand that our seasons are backwards to a lot of the world. As most of you put your bikes away for a few months, we're just getting into summer! Hopefully that means I can add some entertainment through your winter and you can live vicariously through me! What do you ride?
@ArK04722 күн бұрын
@thethrottletube An electric Super Soco TC Max. I picked it up new last year at a deep discount and I got away with riding it as a scooter before I got my full motorcycle license earlier this year. Gas prices here always spike in the summer so not having to deal with gas for my commute during the most expensive times is perfect. However, it's gotten me looking at gas bikes like the Honda Rebel for rides that aren't just commuting; my chequebook is worried.
@thethrottletube22 күн бұрын
@ArK047 that's awesome. I am yet to try and electric bike. Rebels are super comfy! Haha just sign on that dotted line..... 🏍💨

I am in the land of the Kiwi indeed. Thanks man, I only wrapped it a couple of weeks ago. I did a video on the wrap if you haven't seen it yet! Ha yeah 07's are so abrupt off the line but the 09's are another animal for sure! Both are wild in their own right 🔥

@thethrottletube23 күн бұрын
Thank you so much first of all!!!... And I myself am very much a lone rider for the most part. I'll do the odd group thing here and there if I get the urge. You know one of the best places to find rides organically. Is local dealerships. Especially dare I say it... Harley Davidson dealerships. There's always some sort of random, fun, or charity ride going on. Usually they abdvertise in the store or you can go and talk to the team there. It's a small world, and a lot of bike dealership workers are good for finding rides as they are in the loop being surrounded by bike people all day!!
