I appreciate these videos SO much! Thank you for taking time out of your day to teach me more about my DAW! I thought I knew everything after using it for 10 years... I was wrong.

Chris, I am already loving this series and know it will continue to be a great reference into the future. I've been using Logic as my primary DAW for over 20 years since the Emagic days and am continually blown away by all the tips and tricks that I learn from you and equally blown away at how Apple has continued to improve upon Logic over the years. It's simply amazing, all the major updates with no additional $ to be paid by existing users. Glad to see the continued rise of subscribers and support for your channel, you more than deserve it, keep up the great work! Theo

Agreed, and I've been using it since the C-Lab days on Atari. So more than 30 years, and I didn't know about that copy fader to sends feature.

Very helpful overview video. Thank you for showing us dual mono at 4:53 sounds great. Stereo effects EQ makes a massive difference to the sound; like a Moog Matriarch.

Is there a way to change the default of stereo track's panning knobs to stereo pan instead of balance? That would be really helpful because I rarely use balance for stereo tracks.
@garygimmestad42724 жыл бұрын
I couldn’t find a way to do this through Logic Help. As with many other configurations, it apparently can only be established as a default through saving it in a Template.

Thanks so much for doing these videos 😊🙏The Yamaha Grand Piano has been my go-to piano. But while in the Mixer panel, I discovered that they synthesized it using a synth instrument. This is disappointing to me because this single instrument uses 2 buses on its own. It also has many effects plugins tacked onto it. It should have been its own instrument. I am going to have to find another piano that leaves my mixer alone. Do you happen to have a video that covers some of the effect plugins? 🤔

Nice video! Is possible to change the order of the busses or aux?
@steveboris628611 ай бұрын
I came across a video a little while ago for making punchier kicks in mono. They recommended using Binaural Pan in mono and moving the balance to dead center. I have to admit you can really smack those kicks. Is there a downside to this practice?

Hi, I am new using Logic Pro X how can I make the mixer large in a second monitor setup? Thanks
@albertwangny3 жыл бұрын
I know we can let the Bus show up in the Project window then change the orders. My question is how to find out the bus in the Mixer window if I send the aux track, or I already sent the aux track in such as 50 bus, how can I easily find it out in the Mixer window when you have over a hundred tracks?

Is it possible to route the L and R of an audio track to separate outputs? I'd like to play electric guitar on a stereo track and send the L and R out to independent FX chains. I would also like to maintain an "original" signal too if possible.

Many things are a mistery for me still. i actually don´t hear the difference between mono and stereo for each plug in. And all the things of "send on bus" and bus things i don´t get, unless there is a reverb on them.

But we still can’t drag the mixer channels and auxes around to reorder them, THE big weakness of the Logic mixer.
@dreamfire_music4 жыл бұрын
This is exactly what I was going to ask about. There HAS to be way 😖
@MonsieurVersatile4 жыл бұрын
@@dreamfire_music It's probably the most requested feature by users since time began! No sign of it appearing any time soon, though.
@warrenburroughs30254 жыл бұрын
The mixer follows the track order on the main page - top to bottom on the main page = left to right on the mixer. So unless Apple introduce this much requested feature this is the only way to currently rearrange the order of the mixer channels.
@MonsieurVersatile4 жыл бұрын
@@warrenburroughs3025 Yes I think we're all aware of that but it's mad to have to open a track in the Arrange page or switch on automation just to get your auxes where you want them.

Is the logic pro x tge best daw.. Than others daws. Pllllz??????????????
@AlexLapugean4 жыл бұрын
No. The best DAW is the one you know how to use. That has much more impact to your music that the particular DAW you use. All modern proper DAWs do mostly the same things, but in slightly different ways. If you already own a DAW and know how to work with it, unless you really come to hate the workflow, stick with it. No point of switching, you just loose time learning another one, without gaining anything. If you're just starting out, just try a few and see which one do you like the workflow the most, maybe you have particular needs, maybe the price is a consideration. Logic is a very good choice then if you have a Mac, because it is cheaper than most, comes with a lot of sounds and instruments, and has a good interface.

Logic is great and l love it and it's features, Apple's anti consumer actions aren't, l've been using it since Logic 8 and for the first time l might have to look into something similar on PC, especially with the switch to ARM where possibly nothing third party will work for the first 1-2 years and the intel support will die out eventually. Just as the new Mac Pro finally got traction too...
@ancelrick53964 жыл бұрын
I survived the transition from Logic 4 on PowerPC to Logic on x86, the removal of VST and the introduction of AU plugins and then the 32-bit to 64 bit transition. It's not as sudden or bleak as you imaging.
