New mb pro is on the way, so I needed this one.

If you make Flex edits to a track, do you need to keep Flex enabled so the track plays with your edits? Or will your edits be saved & play if you disable Flex for the track after editing? Do you need to bounce the track with Flex enabled to get the edits saved to the track?

Is there any way to make a backup of downloaded Logic Sound Library files to later restore to use with a Logic Pro installation (so that you don't have to go through the long 60+GB download process again)? (You could hopefully compress/Zip the backup into one more compact file.)

How does Mac identify the individual external drive onto which you moved Sound Library so that it refuses to use that drive as Sound Library on another Mac running Logic? I'm wondering if that drive "identifier" info can possibly be hacked/patched (maybe using a drive/system utility app) to "trick" Logic to use that same drive as Sound Library on two (or more) different Macs.

Thanks for posting, didn’t know about this release. Cool update, but I’m hesitant. I have owned a Symphony io since they were 1st released and also have symphony mkii io. In all the years I’ve had them the firmware update almost never has worked 1st try. It usually ends up being an hour of trouble shooting. I’d even try with different Macs and OS. A few times the update did not work at all and I had to send units in. I’ve never had any other piece of studio gear that I couldn’t update the firmware on.

They need to update the iOS apps. They don’t even work over USB-C now.

Ive been using the Element 24 for many years now. About 9-12 months ago I decided to get another newer audio interface with the thought of replacing the Element, and ended up returning the new interface. Listening to the same songs , in the same room, with the same speakers, the sound just wasn't as full and clear like it was through the Element. Apogees conversion is top notch. I am still using the Element 24 to this day, and despite being old, and discontinued, it's still kickin. Highly recommend Apogee.

Can you use Q-Flam on selected notes? Or does the whole region have to be quantized or smart quantized to utilize it? Sometimes I’ll have a software instrument playing chords and leads in the same region.

That may work for a single track, but an entire session is a different issue entirely. Still, the difference shouldn't ruin your mix if you have a durable mix. It should still sound good, just different.

In the session, recording is constantly in the "take folder" mode and suddenly... after a couple of hours of operation, this function is disabled and it is impossible to return it! There is no entry in "take folder" mode. No settings help. It remains to go back to the last saved file or create a new project.) Has anyone encountered an unexpected termination of this function in the project?

A topic I hope you cover one day is how Logic auto manages signal routing tasks. I've always found the way that Logic autocreates aux tracks and busses to be confusing and annoying. Is there a way to disable that?

Maybe you can help 🤞🏼. Ive got a new USB condenser mike that I want to use with my iMac and Logic. Ive got a small hub into which my smart keyboard goes plus the output into the Mac and an input from my audio interface - a Focusrite Scarlet 2i4. This is where I get lost. Ive got no spare USB ports on the Focusrite so Ive plugged the mike into the hub. When I do this a message appears in Logic asking me if I want to use the mikes audio interface. If I say No, I get no signal. If I say Yes, I can see the signal going into the mike and Logic but I can’t hear anything. Its as if the Focusrite has switched itself off. What am I doing wrong ? I’ve had this mike for 6 months and have never been able to use it because of the reasons above. Put it aside as it was driving me up the wall, then today I thought Id try again. Still no joy 🤷‍♂️. Very frustrating

What mic are you using?

I was sent 15 stems and drag them into a new project. The project was set to the default 120 BPM. When I changed the BPM to 112, it messes up all of the audio regions. Is this normal? There is one midi region in the stems project. Flex time is not on, everything is off.

Granted I’m watching/listening on my Television… so it’s not like the speaker is great. But, in this listening environment there is absolutely no difference in the before and after examples. They both sound great but the same. It begs the question, since most people aren’t even listening to music on something as good as a television speaker (ie they’re on a cellphone) does any of this minutia even matter?
