@danielmazin6153 - pay is just one element. I don't know many people that are emotionally connected to money. Of course we need enough of it to pay the bills and enjoy life. Once you have that covered, does more really motivate as much as other factors? Secondly, just paying more impacts the company's profitability. Will that help the company survive and be able to pay salaries to all their staff into the future? There are multiple issues to consider when trying to get your best employees to stay. J

😂 pay is obviously the main reason all of the rest is window dressing. In an economic recession and with massive inflation and costs of living, pay your staff MORE and they will stay. End of story! @@Enhancetraining

What happens when your company doesn't have enough budget or needs to spend the budget on something it perceives as more valuable. I absolutely agree with paying a fair and market rate. Look at the research and as soon as you have reached this point, pay drops down the reasons why people stay or leave. Going straight to increasing pay is also a lazy management option. J
