Point at things around the house and say their Italian names over and over and over again, until anyone you live with gets sick of this and starts throwing things at you. You won't soon forget. Also smelling and tasting things helps. Like books, open up a book and start licking the pages. No, probably don't do that.

Could you guys help explain the phrase "mi raccomando!" and its different meanings in various conversational contexts? I hear it a lot, but often they mean different things. Grazie Mille :)

Can you make examples? I think it always means the same, like "I recommend you" for all contexts, meaning: "please don't forget to do what I told you"

It usually follows some instructions and is a way to reinforce them. It tends to express a certain anxiety that the instructions might get disattended. Another similar locution is “te lo raccomando”, usually ironical, that means you have absolutely no trust in the item or in the person you “recommend”.
