I love your teaching style. I am a visual learner. I learn by watching a process over and over again. I'm now going to attempt to make the cuff bracelet. I know it will take time to make but I'm up for the challenge. Thanks so much for the tutorial.

I have used this video to make about 10 bracelets & I'm new to this hobby. This pattern can be changed up a bit & used to make rings & even a pendant for a necklace. These make wonderful presents for birthday presents and gifts of all kinds.

I tried a modification of this weave with 18 gauge copper wire, but didn't have weaving wire, so am using 20 gauge copper wire for that. I think I made a mistake with that, because the 20 gauge is a bit too thick and kinks when weaving, and doesn't fit exactly, leaving tiny spaces. I don't want to dismantle the project, so I don't have much choice but to finish it. Too bad jewelry has to be nearly perfect before anyone will consider wearing it.

I'm just getting into making jewelry so I'm a beginner. What happens if your 28g wire breaks as your working? Do I have to start over
@Jenniferbiedermannjewelry
@Jenniferbiedermannjewelry 8 жыл бұрын
Hi April, there are a few reasons why weaving wire will break. when wire is over worked it will harden and become brittle, or it will twist and kink that happens when you are weaving from the spool so cut off a length that is manageable and check for kinks and twists. Tension can break your wire, if you are pulling to tight and pushing with nails or pliers can break the wire. Tension is important when weaving, too tight not good, too loose not good. You want to guide the wire with your fingers gently then compress tight. Dont give up you will get it, it takes time to get to know your wire.

I must have missed it...how do you end the wrapping wire?
@Jenniferbiedermannjewelry
@Jenniferbiedermannjewelry 8 жыл бұрын
hi donna when you have completed the last ten rotations you simply coil once or twice just secure as you did when starting at the beginning. snip your weaving wire use your pliers to on the end and squish down gently until you cant feel any edges sticking out.
