My oldest son Baron was a pretty good and knowledgeable co-pilot at age 5 to 8 but we were flying our Piper Chieftain. He was good with take offs (even at night) and instruments, followed ATC instructions and clearances and was a great safety spotter. Saved us from a near midair near DAB Daytona Beach during a poorly coordinated ATC hand off to the airport tower. BARON #1
