Hendrix released that first album with the experience 10 years after picking up a guitar. He didn't have KZbin, teachers, or anything. Did it all by ear. The way he foundout how to tune his guitar properly was he walked to a music store, plucked each string on a guitar at the store, memorized the sound of each string and walked back home to tune his guitar to what he heard.

@@dylannoonan260 My comment by no means suggested that she was born with a guitar in her hand. If you follow her progression of all the videos she's released over the years, you will see how much hard work she's put into achieving her admirable and insane level of ingenuity. Using the phrase "natural talent" refers to her astute decision to pursue music (whether this is a hobby or a career, etc) and sharing with the world experience a talent (also known as a "skill") that she holds. There are many of us with an inherent, natural ability in certain fields that surpasses others. It's why some choose to pursue and excel in art or music versus construction and engine re-building versus optical physics or neuroscience. Everyone has a set of natural talents; it's whether we choose to feed our natural abilities to become something timeless, or choose to pursue a settled, more standard prescribed path in life and remain mediocre. *Edited for typo on "fields"

@@glittr4brainzz Don't give up! It's kinda monotonous having to practice the basics so much at the beginning, but trust me if you do a little bit every day you'll get there! Took me 2 years to even just play chords without any strings getting muted. "Do I just have really fat fingers? Why can't my pinky hold down the string properly? Why do the strings hurt my fingers so much? HOW DO PEOPLE DO THIS?" Eventually I went over my finger placement through videos, and that really helped. JustinGuitar is a life saver, now I can play most chords without any issues! Don't give up! Keep practicing! And you always wanna try aiming for songs that are one skill level above yours. You've made a solid and holistic progression. All things considered, you went from La La Land (A good movie tbf) via Ed Sheeran to finding a style you vibe with and which (I can imagine) is technically challenging you to incorporate more creative and unique chord progressions and techniques. While cultivating a fascination for the instrument and finding a style you've also created an image and a platform by and for yourself.

@@mikoajtokar5846 Improvements don't come from playing. They come from practicing. If you practice the same 10 things every day for your whole life, you're going to start seeing very minimal improvement in those 10 things. Sometimes it takes a teacher to demonstrate 11 through 15 and help you connect the dots to get you to 20. Then you practice steps 10 to 20. Etc. Practice has to be with intention and using your intention has to come from a specific goal with some level of knowledge on how to get there.
