Having my paperwork post release not only saved my life but solidified my standing as someone who could have snitched my way out of prison time but didn’t as it all comes out in the discovery. Hell, I even had my canteen card/prison ID which you’re supposed to give back or you don’t get released but I had that covered with paper too. Anyways 15 years clean now and part of my family again which is the number one priority for me.
