In Southern California (Adelanto Detention Center), we used our ID cards as a place holder and only showered one at a time, so we could shower without boxers. We typically washed our whites (undershirt, boxers) while we showered. After we finished we took our ID card out of "line" and let the next person in line know that the shower was available.

I just did time in county and an even longer stent in a psychward which was even worse than Jail because of the 24hr isolation unit I was in and the staff are absolute powertripping freaks, but im from the rural midwest (Ohio) Im always curious about guys who did time in Cali its a whole different world out there. @@weltschmerz333 It was jail, and I served 6 months. The politics are easy to get used to. A lot of it had to do with not doing certain things with the brothers. Like, don't sit on a brother's bunk. Don't spread with the brothers. Mostly segregation of the races. You can talk to whoever, just don't do certain things. Every race had their toilets and sinks, only use yours. Don't spit in the sinks. Brushing your teeth, don't spit in the sink, spit in the pisser, not the shitter. You learn fast.

I dont know how they can toss people in seg units for things like fighting and contraband its straight up torture. Stay free bro take care

Same in the jail I was in in Tennessee...except there were like 4 shower heads and some of us girls would shower together. Usually only with people on your group. You didn't randomly get in with other people. It was more like one ID card put up for one turn at the entire shower so however many girls decided to go together was all in that one turn. And then the prison I went to have individual showers. With like pie flaps. You could lock yourself in if you wanted. I liked that better. But I definitely never showered with my clothes on.

L.A. County jail........no boxers in the shower, but you can wash your boxers, socks, and t shirts while you're in there.......No spitting in the trashcan, no pissing in the shitter, no shitting in the pisser, no brushing your teeth in the food/cooking sink, no watching fights, no sharing food with other races, no playing games with other races...etc. etc.....

I just made ear plugs and slept or read books for those 15 days. Then them raggedy mfs put me right across from the shower so whenever I would peep out my window and someone was showering I got to see soapy D and balls swinging around with them looking like rabid dogs licking their tongue at me. Oh it was TERRIBLE but I showed no emotions lol

I've seen someone successfully hang themselves in Clark County jail in WA state. They had to cut him down and the EMTs wheeled him out on a gurney. He wasn't moving, his eyes were closed, and they weren't performing any life saving measures. I think he was dead.

As a Cali survivor, I can say either way is accepted. Hispanics are more likely to go the boxer route, but I think location plays a part as well. San Quentin reception is a nasty s*** hole where showers time, an open but not very roomy space, is spotty at best and usually packed to the gills. Races separate as usual, with just a few shower heads allotted for each group. Aholes and elbows abound with only about 3 minutes to get the job done. Get wet, step back to soap up while someone else is rinsing, and so on. No shame there in not wanting to be butt naked with a bunch of other men.

I have a friend doing time in Rhode Island and he says he has had covid four plus times as has everyone else..about not knowing who is who in jail... I was once doing 90 days in Fulton County (Atlanta) and we were in the big Court holding area and one street dude came in from court crying and bitching he had to stay there the entire weekend and some dude just got up and lit him up man..turned out the other just got twenty years and had enough of the weekend warrior..you never know who you are standing next to..BE RESPECTFUL..the jail I have been in the most is SF county and on the sixth floor the showers are single metal ones so all you need is a "shower head" to make the water better.

Pitt County, NC is home to ECU, a party college and at one point they called it G-Vegas some say bc of the growth but folks in the street say otherwise. Idk, I'm from the Raliegh area and all I know is there's alot of street shit going on and I've been there for parties and what not. It's a straight little place but some folks should be cautious. Also in our county jails, Feds walk around with state in a out half of them but they have different colored jumpers or have their own block.

Luckily the VA hooked me up a couple of years later with harvoni and it cured me. Still did some damage to my liver though, especially being a former alcoholic.

Went back to jail for 3 weeks in May of this year due to a random misdemeanor probation violation from 4 years ago (random roadblock, ran my name and it popped up,) but I am so damn thankful I didn't have to go through a quarantine cell. I guess Georgia doesn't do it anymore. It would have genuinely probably ruined my life as I did my college schoolwork over the phone while in there. One hour of phone a day max would've been hell.

yooo thats craZy. one time in the county, they were doing count in the dorm so we all had to go near our bunks. this guy that was waaay bigger than bald headed girly pushup guy, got off his bunk and said "f@ck this, im going to take a piss". yo mark my words, 5 co's followed him in the bathroom and put the blinders on. all you hear were cries of help, and sorry my friend, no help wasnt coming. he came out of there hurtin holding his side and straight up legit CRYING in from of the whole dorm full of 80 or 90 criminals (allegedly). so while he is hurt and crying in front of the whole dorm, one of the funnies and littlest guys i ever met yelled out "shut up you big bitch". the whole dorm blew up with laughter. that was one of the best times i ever has in jail. so anyway, that pushup shit would not have flied lol

I don’t get the idea behind the whole quarantine thing, because you constantly have a rotation of guards who could’ve just as easily been exposed out in their everyday normal life and then bring that crap right into GP.. Thus exposing everyone in there to the exact same thing that they claim to be trying to prevent from getting into that mainline.. Symptoms don’t automatically show up, they take days and even week’s to show up. Not to mention the people who don’t show any symptoms whatsoever the whole time they carry it.. So I don’t see where it does any good for the inmate’s, and it only further destroys one’s mental health.. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's likely that prison staff has their temperatures taken as well as other safe guarding measures because they do not want to become ill either. I know when I worked at Whataburger in 2020, they had everyone take their temperature before clocking in

@@OmarFL305 Yeah but taking temperature doesn’t do much until they start feeling like crap which doesn’t start until about a week or so after being exposed.. Not to mention I’ve had it twice, but I never showed symptoms and didn’t carry a temperature either. Obviously everyone wasn’t as lucky as I was but the whole temperature thing was about the only thing they had for a indicator and at least in my area it was still getting in left and right, even though they did the whole 2 week quarantine. So it was most likely coming through the guard’s I figured.. You know those guards don’t get paid well and even if they knew they were exposed, so I’m sure a lot of them if not all did the same as I did and went to work during that time period too. As long as they weren’t feeling like death.. Either way it was everywhere in the jails and prisons around me, least the ones I have buddies in. That’s basically all they talked about during that time. I just think it did more harm than good. But gave them a good reason to make their job’s a lil bit easier by having that many less people to need to deal with on a daily basis..

From San Bernardino and every facility I was ever at was naked showers. We used to stand in line naked to switch clothes too. Hold your dirty roll in line and walk in a circle dropping them and getting clean ones, 4 pods like 3-400 guys.

Mate don't know if it's just me ,but mate can't get my sound high enough to hear you,, just thought I'd put it out there Incase you can put the sound up a bit from your end ,, good work ,, getting the younger generation to just step back for a min,or two before they throw Thier life down the shitter (sometimes making a name for oneself can BACK fire , big time 2sec of losing one's temper,can take years to fix ,,keep it up ,,(and maybe the sound to 😊

I was a prison nurse in Nevada ( travel nurse) there was a shower fight…one man was struck ( I believe) in the chest…prison deputies called for a nurse…they had wheeled an AED into the shower???? I refused to use it unless the prisoner was moved…

in cali, we men. boxers are on if you want, but make you look scared. a lot of people wash their boxers in shower, so keep them on then take them off at some point.

I been to bootcamp as a juvenille, different jails, state prison, and federal prison all in florida and i been in all theese scenarios, u always take a shower with ur boxers on incase it goes down mu 3rd fight in jail was me in the shwr in my boxers and cuz i saw en empty chair infront of a shower stall and didnt know sum1 was saving it and he started hittin me with the chair mid shwr and i came out in my boxers and handled him enough to get respect in that unit.

Im in brunswick county nc. The very bottom eatearn county of the state... right at the nc sc state line... 20min from myrtle beach sc... and ive never heard of the county either
