My husband and I share a car and I love it. We were able to sell my car last February and get a great big check to go towards other things. We are now saving thousands of dollars a year by only owning 1 car💰 My husband does all the service appointments, car washes, interior cleaning and fills the gas tank😃 We plan and use services to compensate like Uber occasionally, grocery delivery, share a ride sometimes, or just be ok with 1 person who has to stay home🤷‍♀️ It can work in certain circumstances.

I plan to retire from teaching after 30 years this coming June 2025. I plan to begin substitute teaching in January of 2026, to supplement my retirement income. It will keep me busy, but I won't have to deal with all of the things that come with teaching, i.e. parents, admin., and paperwork! Debt free is for me! I love the idea of cleaning out and decluttering my home so my daughter doesn't have to!

absolutely agree with the Swedish death cleaning. My parents lived in their home for 70 years, so much work and so emotional cleaning out their home.

I have friends that live in Chicago. Their car is in storage and they only use public transportation. However if they sell their current car they'll get money plus save on automobile storage. Great idea. When they need a car they could do rental for the holidays. Smart thinking! Plus save on insurance. Car tags. Personal property taxes.

We relocated to a much less expensive state where my kids attend college and plan to live afterwards. We just purchased 45 acres at auction and will build our retirement home there. We also had the property subdivided so our kids could live there in their own homes if they want to. Husband works remotely and that is my current goal as well. We are about 8 years out from retirement. Love your tips!! I would love to learn more from you about starting a KZbin channel!!❤

I have solar panels on my roof. I have saved about £600 a year on my electricity bill. I do everything during the hours of 1-3pm. I do the cooking, vacuuming and the washing plus get a shower at this time as its virtually free then - all year round.

Solar panels on your roof and need a new roof cost a lot to take off put back on. If you owe on them and sell your house you have to pay the loan or new home owner does. Very very expensive

Trying to get my KZbin channel off the ground doing live streams doing crocheting, maybe earn a bit of money doing it. I can’t see to drive so getting a standard job where I’m at isn’t doable, cabs are expensive

Great tips ! It’s sad but less than 50% live to be 80 so if you retire at 70 you really don’t have much time left. My grandmother retired at 70 died six years later, so sad !

I would like to learn more about HSA. Are you only allowed to use it if you have HSA insurance. We had one in the past and still have an HSA account, but I thought you could only contribute to it if you have a HSA insurance

Upper middle class trying to save money, rent out your vacation property, get solar panels for your roof. How about sell some of the crap you have laying around your house on facebook, that is grocery money for the week. How about turn off the lights in your house. I know this channel isn't for me, I just get a kick out of watching people that think there having a hard time telling other people how to cut back. My house insurance just doubled, can't make that payment. Groceries have now been cut off completely. If we don't make a sell we don't buy groceries. That is the reality of today, not getting solar panels.

I just do not have time for hat renegotiating crap. I am not interested in calling and calling just to save $25 for 3 months, only to have the price go back up. Or worse, the inconvenience of shopping around for another company or threatening to leave. I just find that annoying.

I grew up in a very large family. Sometimes we had to sleep I don't know how many people to a bed. That includes my not just my brothers and sisters sometimes it will be my cousins. Sometimes we will sleep with my my great-grandmother, my aunt's, and sometimes we slept on the floor. I'm saying this because when I got married it was just me and my husband in the beginning that was very hard for me. I will oftentimes go back home where there were more people because I didn't know how to live alone basically and be by myself while my husband was at work. He often worked at nights and sometimes in the day so we didn't see each other too often. After my divorce I went back home to my family. Which now included my nieces and my nephews and my brothers. I was the oldest in the house and had to share a room with them often. Then when I wanted to date as an adult my mom was like same rules same house in the house by 10:00 doors locked by 11 often times I had to negotiate even for weekends to come in by 1:00 am.😂 Even, no phone calls after 10:00 p.m. that included my own cell phone. Stop it😅😂 but my mom, her house her rules. I hope you all know I didn't follow all of them rules all of the time.😂😅❤ After a while I got tired of that so I sought to find my own apartment. Where I can still call do what I wanted to when I wanted to. Didn't realize how terrible and terrifying is was for me to live alone. So you know what I did right I went back home to my mama house..😂😅😮 I would stay there in the summers in the winter time I will stay there as late as possible before my mother was like oh you wanted to live by yourself okay get out and go home This went on for years until my mother moved out of state. But the first year I was on my own I cried every single day for hours cuz I did not like it. I am telling all of this as a backstory because now you cannot get me out of my house I leave I'll go I do I sleep how long I want to I wake up when I want to whatever I want I do.. it's like when you retire from your job. It is a hard adjustment but after you get like someone said your routine and your schedule you're going to love living alone like they say get a pet. I have a cat the cat even gets on my nerves I'm like I can't wait till somebody come pick you up. Are we married. I've gotten so used to living alone even when my husband comes home from work I'll be like when you going back to work.😂 And he's a long-distance truck driver😂😊. As long as you have Jesus in your life, some good friends and some hobbies you're going to be just fine. And if that doesn't work you can come over here and be with me. You can help me clean up play games I told you I don't go outside too much so we will be watching movies and taking a lot of naps. That's one thing my aunts and I used to do before they passed away every weekend they used to come over we will order pizza watch some movies and taking a nap.❤😂. Their daughters used to say when they came to pick them up how I brought them over here to visit with y'all and every time I come back y'all sleep. What kind of visiting is this.❤
