The final event day of the 2024 NRHS Convention started off at the Middletown & Hummelstown Railroad, just outside of Harrisburg. The railroad assembled a mixed freight and passenger train for some run bys, most of which consisted of street running. Afterwards, our train ran with just passenger cars. Unfortunately, the scheduled Northern Central Railway portion of the convention was canceled, due to a diesel locomotive breakdown. However, the NRHS really made up for it by arranging buses to come to the 66th annual steam show in Mechanicsburg, PA with PRR 643 giving rides to visitors. It was a great way to end the convention.
