Definitely a solid stand while hunting. I've only used the top button, which I prefer. Ive also been sitting in it like a hang on stand due to these small river bottom trees. Its a great compact rig for thick cover and limited hang spots

I have nerve damage from back surgery in my left leg.. so I use mine like a saddle platform more than anything else.. the tension from the tether seems to keep the klonus down in my left leg.

I went ahead and padded both sides of my seat and lashed it with paracord. Last couple of hunts I just started leaving my pin in so that when I hang the stand I dont have to take the pin out, move the seat and put it back in, its ready to sit on or use as a knee pad. I just hang and strap my pack on the platform to carry it in. Now there is no hangup from the seat and I actually have a but pad for the walk in. Its money!

I cut the tabs off the back facing accessory accessory prongs. One of the LWCG pro staffers did that and it has worked really well.

I have a video showing how to attach the shoulder straps and why attaching the bottom of the straps to the seat… is the best option. But with that, the seat has to be locked in the shelf mode for that as well tho. But it keeps the stand off your lower back saddle area. Check out the video.

I had the same problem when I first received my stand. It’s hard to tell in your video but I wonder if you may have the shoulder straps upside down. I actually did and I contacted LW regarding the comfort of them. They were nice enough to set me straight without making me feel too dumb over. Once I flipped them around the stand carried like a dream. Just sharing my experience your straps may be correct but hard to tell like I said. There are two connection straps on what should be the top as it comes with load lifting straps as well as the normal connection point for the straps. 👍🏼
@trhaase03792 ай бұрын
Actually after watching further into the video I can assure you that the straps are upside down. If you flip them over it will carry so much better.
@SaddleCartel2 ай бұрын
@@trhaase0379I’ve done that! Actually watched a lot of videos this evening trying to get them attached in better spots. Ive found a sweet spot on the platform now and it seems to carry a lot better..

I think when they say the versa button hitting the stand is keeping it off you, they are referring to the seat post that hangs down, not the button itself. I bet if you cut it and drop it the 3/4" the post will hit your lower back.
@SaddleCartel2 ай бұрын
That’s not what the email said, but you raise a very VERY valid point! The seat post already hits right at the belt line and snags in my saddle. That would make it worse.

If you strap your sticks to the platform it will kick the seat out far enough so it won’t hit you

Great review lance! I will point out, that seat is the .5 seat, which is why it has the accessory hooks, which are intended to hang a call from and such. My big concern in transport, is the thing literally bruised my shoulder blades. But I have experienced the bottom snagging on my saddle a few times. Thing bites like crazy though, that’s for sure! I also use the bottom Versa button. My shoulder straps are closer to the top than yours. I wonder if that’s affecting how low it’s riding on your back?
@SaddleCartel2 ай бұрын
I moved my straps again and it seems to ride a bit better. However if you tilt or turn the wrong way now those giant fangs will catch you in the back of the head! 😂. But once it’s on the tree? Awesome ! It’s just getting it to and up the tree.
@royoel69Ай бұрын
If you cut off that post that means the bottom will dig into your lower back and saddle 3/4 inch more.
@smau9902 ай бұрын
The snag-tabs on the seat are for hanging a backpack, on 1.0 size seat they're nicely recessed from the edge of the seat and never snag accidentally into anything, apparently not so much on the small seat.
