I think it was blood from muscle hit. Muscle bleed lots if you keep pushing the animal. No time to clot up.
@jonathanbennison92207 күн бұрын
@gunshyarchery oh interesting. It makes sense, but I hadn't expected so much blood, at almost each step. I also though that Bison might be similar to bear. Thick fat reserves and long fur might reduce the blood trail. Great video. Thank you

How much did you pay for permission to kill it? Was it worth it? Did you discover any difference between shooting a bison and a dairy cow? What would drive a person to want to do that? Recurve or super magnum rifle, anyone with enough money can buy that kind of "adventure." Seriously, why did you not only consider it, but actually kill the half-tame creature? Why? I've been a traditional bow hunter for 60 years, but it seems to me it would be a lot cheaper and just as challenging to find a stump that would hold still long enough to get shot. I for one, maybe the only one, who cannot admire your "hunt" and would be the first to condemn it. Also, please remember when you post something for the world to see, you gotta expect some responses like this. A lot of odd people out there; maybe I'm one.
@gunshyarchery8 күн бұрын
Thanks for your response Michael. I try to answer all comments, good or bad. I find this comment not to be bad, nor good. But to answer your question of why would I shoot a half tame creature. And is it worth it.... Yes it is worth it if you like to shoot animals and eat them. If Costco would let me shoot my own chicken there I would do that as well. I like to shoot things and eat them. This is a perfect example of that. It is a meat hunt where I get to shoot my groceries. Outfitted hunts like these are just simply fun. Where else could I go and hunt a bison for the price one pays here, and pretty much be guaranteed a shot. And the reason I blew my shot is because it is still hunting, I was super excited and shit the bed on the shot. That is what you are paying for. The thrill not so much the meat. Meat like all of my videos is just Icing on the cake. The hunt is the fun part. Thanks for watching Michael. Mulie video and whitetail videos coming out soon, hope you check them out.

Couple legit questions: Do you have to provide your own food or did they seriously give you a beef stew dehydrated meal? If they did that’s pathetic. Did you find it strange that he drove you right to the herd before you stalked them? Were you actually feeling cold? I live in Alberta and that is t-shirt weather.
@gunshyarchery15 күн бұрын
@@peterheinz9569 Ha ha, I’ve known Kelly for 25 years. A good friend. He doesn’t need to feed me. This was partially guided. I don’t know enough about bison and I’m not shooting a record book bison by mistake. Pockets are not deep enough for that. It’s outfitted so it’s pay to play. As for being cold, you must have more layers than me to not be cold. You were not there. I’m from Saskatchewan. We feel the same cold. And it was cold. Also if you watched the video you’d see, we walked out, spotted them. Then stalked them. Could have saved 300 yards of walking if he would have drove. Thanks for watching. And fyi, your questions are far from legit…
