That is not an extra battery being towed behind the electric car but a gasoline engine generator to charge the battery of the electric car. As an engineer I can honestly tell you, electric cars are not the answer, batteries are ALWAYS prone to fail!

4 stroke jet engine huh. Must be some new definition of a jet engine I'm unaware of
@getphazed
@getphazed Жыл бұрын
Did you think Jet Boats used jet engines like a fighter jet? Or Jet Skis or Sea-Doo? Many boats use Jet engines, they are called that because they use pump--jets/impellers.
@mattblattel8106
@mattblattel8106 Жыл бұрын
@@getphazed I was indeed privy to this, however its still not a 4 stroke jet engine regardless of how you look at it. It's a 4 stroke engine with a hydro jet drive. Anyway, it's not something I'm passionate about enough to argue with a stranger about.

14:58 Massive increase to unsprung weight. 15:09 7.75 lbs?🤔 How big is that tire/wheel/brake/drive assembly? Certainly not a full size hwy vehicle application.
@billymanilli
@billymanilli Жыл бұрын
I dunno,but at any rate, 7.75 lbs certainly isn't "massive"
@jamescampbell4334
@jamescampbell4334 Жыл бұрын
@@billymanilli Adding a pound of unsprung weight is roughly equivalent to adding 10 pounds of sprung vehicle weight in regard to performance and MPG. Take 7.5 lbs per wheel, that's 15 lbs per axle, 30 lbs overall on a 4 wheeled vehicle. That 30 lb increase in unsprung weight is like putting two 150 lb passengers in the vehicle. That's not just significant weight IMHO, but it's also the opinion of vehicle designers and manufacturers. Also, and noted on my prior post. That 7.75 pound assembly is significantly smaller than what would be required on a vehicle traveling on US highway.

I get it man. I was running small portable generators off hydrogen extracted from tap water via electrolysis in 1988. The heart of my system was a sealed vessel with 90 overlapping metal wafers where every other wafer was negative and the other positive. Electrolysis. The rest of the details are irrelevant since you can see lots of projects like this here on KZbin. Japan has been running cars domestically on hydrogen reliably for 25 years now.

I'd love to test drive Orbis wheels for them. Please send me a set for my 2013 Impala. I love My LTZ but it does consume more fuel at suburban stop and go speeds. I can see a hybrid set up doing wonders for fuel mileage in my driving envelope. I would keep records of real world use over a multi year period. The feedback would be invaluable for Orbis and save me gobs of gas money.

They say that the goal at hand is to achieve a higher quality of life through robotics by allowing everyone to only have to work for a maximum of 4 hours a day...... But nobody is currently allowed to make enough money from 8 hours of work daily to even come close to being able to provide for their family by current standards because profit takes way to much precedence. How anyone expects to achieve such a goal without drastic change that would disrupt life as it is known is either in the know or in fantasy land.

Hmmm, other than animals (maybe) what's the sense in having a gate that you can just drive over/through without it being locked? Then anyone (if you want them or not) can just drive onto/into your property! Now don't tell me you can put a lock on it, then you would still have to get out to unlock it! Oh, wait you can get an automatic unlocking system! Which of course you can get on any gate system and not have to have the gate dragging along the bottom of your vehicle which you wouldn't want in case something were to force you to have to back up for whatever reason! Just a thought!

The modular aircraft will never be practical because in a non modular aircraft the fuselage is a structural element of the entire aircraft. Its similar to comparing a body on frame car to a unibody where body on frame is always heavier and not necessarily stronger than the unibody. The modular aircraft would be two separate yet strong structures thus it has to end up heavier than a similarly sized non modular aircraft. Also imagine the ramifications of a failure of the latch that holds the passenger module to the aircraft. Bombs Away!
