Not only were most of these musicians killed young but around the same age 🤷🏽‍♂️ for a musician Dimbag Darryl has to be the worst nightmare. Being murdered onstage doing what you love and is supposed to bring joy and stress relief to most who enjoy concerts and the sound of music. RIP to all who were tragically killed ✌🏽♥️

December 8, 1980, San Francisco Bay Area. My dad woke me up minutes after I was put to bed. He escorted me into the living room and said “son you will remember this night for the rest of your life.” He placed me in front of our black and white console TV. “Someone shot and killed John Lennon,” he said. I was 8 years old. 44 years later my fathers words prove true.

I remember when "Stringbean" Davod Akeman and wife wrre viciously murdered in their Nashville home. Think he had just performed at the Grand Ol' Opry. Very talented banjo player. So tragic.

Of all these deaths, the one that saddens me the most is Mia Zapata. I don't understand how someone can do something like this to a woman. The world is full of criminals without a shred of humanity.

What’s so sad about most of these deaths, is that many of them could’ve been prevented. For example. Most of the rappers, once they found fame. Kept hanging around the same old people, that didn’t have anything. Sometimes you just have to cut yourself off from the people that don’t mean you any good. All because they are jealous of your happiness and success. I just hope that their family will find closure.🥺

John Lennon, a symbol of peace... He was known for being hot-headed, short-fused and overall problematic. His romance with Yoko Ono didn't help either, and it was his over-inflated ego that led him to clash with the rest of the Beatles, leading to the band's dissolution.

Thank you for remembering the legendary Rusty Day of Cactus. I thought he was gonna be committed from this list but he showed up at the very end. The sad thing is that there is virtually no video footage of the band. All I have seen is a very brief segment (20 odd seconds) from the Isle of Wight festival 1970. Hopefully, there is full footage somewhere, and an official release will happen. Same eith Randy California''s Spirit who also performed at IOW

For as tragic as his death was, Jaco wasn't murdered. He got unintentionally beaten to death because he fucked around, like that alcoholic and junkie he was. It's sad he went out that way, but he drew the map that led there.
