Here's the difference between Rune Factory compared to most other farming sims: It's not all farming, you have RPG combat against monsters and can befriend them instead of choosing to defeat them, if you give them the right gifts. Furthermore, you have RPG stats and equipment. And unlike Stardew Valley, this RPG combat is not restricted to one area, most of the world you can do RPG combat. Infact we have bosses to fight and magic spells unrelated to farming. As well as a story to go through. As someone who likes non-realistic farming sims, and RPG, it suits me. I'm probably biased with farming sims though, as I used to live at a farm, and sometimes had to do work there

I guess the 2020s were meant to be Sonic's renaissance holy God. Two good movies, a great Netflix show, a great game, ANOTHA great looking game on the horizon....and given how Tails and Knuckles were fixed in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 I have no doubt that Shadow will be returned to form in movie 3, if Sonic Prime is anything to go by. What a decade for Sonic. Love to see it.

It's one of those games that I feel really demonstrates the no Region locking being a huge asset for the Switch and is a must buy for the system. I really hope that Metal Gear gets a retail physical release that doesn't involve Limited Run Games.

Super Bomberman R actually got a lot more love after the 60fps patch, doubling the frame rate that the game launched at, and I guess Super Bomberman R Online did well for them to make that sequel

Norn9: Last Era (August 31st), Even if Tempest: Dawning Connections (October 26th), Hana Awase: New Moon (October 26th) are all releasing this year as well. I wish you didn't skip past Radiant Tale so quickly without even mentioning what the game is . Totally understand if visual novels aren't your thing, but if your goal is to highlight all upcoming Switch games, then even if it might not appeal to you, it very well might for someone else. It would really be of help to such a niche genre if these games didn't go unmentioned or swept under the rug in the future. Love your videos, Wood!

21:41 The Apollo Trilogy more or less seals the Ace Attorney bag for Switch actually. Since the Phoenix Trilogy and the two Great Ace Attorney are on Switch, even physical in Japan/Asia. The only games about to be missing will be the Miles Edgeworth Investigations spin-offs. They will hopefully arrive one day too 😊

I got the phoenix trilogy and I've been loving it. It's something I've always seen and thought about and I'm glad I picked it up and I'm slowly working my way through the cases enjoying the light-hearted and funny dialogue.

I don't think the Dual Destiny is on the Switch? Isn't that one still a 3DS exclusive? (The one where Athena seems to get a big star part and with the singing pirates?) Or has that made it to Switch too and I've managed to miss it? or USA only? While not the best of the PW series (I stand by the original PW for that admittedly), they still had some charm I felt and let you see a little more into what happened after Apollo. Also some nice little throw back references to the original games. I would like to see all of them eventually make their way to the Switch ngl.

I've played the Steam Demo of Little Kitty Big City, and its... so very cute. It has a bit of Untitled Goose game as in you just wander around the city (Trying to get home) and just complete random side quest (harassing people long the way) while trying to complete what you need to do to get home. It's not ground breaking, but what was in the demo was cute and you get to just break every potted plant you come across.... No i didn't do this, what are you talking about...

Fae Farm is my top game as I've been watching gameplay since they announced it and Ive been craving a cozy experience since Stardew got old and Animal Crossing stopped getting updated, AND Disney dreamlight has so many microtransactions now its annoying... so I am very excited for Fae Farm - the multiplayer feature for cozy games are my favorite part about cozy games because its like you get to share your decorations with friends and its just cute and nice. Seeing all the gameplay for Palia looks like fun as well but the look of it reminds me of Fortnite which throws me off but im sure will be fun. I will probably try Vampire Survivors, Blasphemous 2 (although I kinda wanna play the first one first), Detective Pikachu, it looks ridiculous & because of that I want to play, Mario Wonder & mario RPG I am definitely buying, and Ive never played the persona games but when I saw the chibi's I thought - that might be fun. Vampire Masqurade blows my mind because its on PS5 and its super high quality - but the switch version looks BAD - I think they should of done Vampire Masqurade: Bloodhunt instead which is a free part of the game (I think) thats like warzone and apex legends almost but with vampires. But honestly would probably run bad on the switch - SWITCH 2 though - maybe better. I am just hoping when/if Switch 2 drops theyll drop a new animal crossing game with it because so many people still play new horizons.

I'm currently playing the closed beta of Palia and it's honestly a LOT better than I thought it would be. Super addictive. Characters are more memorable than I imagined they would be and the graphics are pretty. Gameplay mechanics are good and overall the game is running smoothly!

Great video! You Will LOVE Rune factory 4 special. I waited way too long to follow this advice and it’s hands down one of the best games I’ve played. I’m obsessed with most Zelda-games and I never thought I’d find a game as good.
