wow! absolutely love the variety of genres! You are like me and not locked into 1 type of music, why limit yourself when there is 100 years of great recorded music.

12:24 The Grapes Of Wrath are from my home city Vancouver Canada. They're were known as a Folk/Alternative Rock band having a similar sound to R.E.M. Very popular in Canada in the 80's & early 90's.

Hi Simon, it doesn't bear thinking about how much those would've cost full price when they came out. Charity shops practically give CDs away these days so I'm sure they will have a comeback / renaissance.
@vinyldale3 жыл бұрын
Martin, to buy a small lot back then would of cost an absolute fortune, I can remember buying about 5 cds in the early 2000's and got buyers remorse, why did'nt I just wait till they became cheap in the charity shops, same with DVDs, like yourself I must of spent hundreds in the past
@cristianosorio25173 жыл бұрын
Hi Simon!! some stack of cd's, great opportunity to get classic albums in your collection and super cheap, that's even better. There're a couple of those i need to get too, like U2 (when they were a "great band"), The Stones (both of them), Queen the Miracle!!, a jewel case copy of Zep. cheers and be well

here in the States we never say charity shop.....we say...Thrift Store

I know, it sounds so English, sometimes I do say thift store for my American viewers

You've got some good charity shops near you. The first Duran Duran album you showed is known as The Wedding Album. If you haven't got it already The Beatles blue album is a must for Beatles fans.

Hi Dale - I was sorry to hear about your Dad. I hope you and your family are doing OK ... As for the CDs, you can't go wrong with 70s Bowie, Paul Simon's 'The Rhythm Of The Saints' (I don't have it on vinyl), 70s Dylan and Paul Weller ... I keep finding good stuff. Today I picked up 'The Poet' by Bobby Womack for 20 pence ... I find myself deliberately buying stuff I've already got too. Take care, Carl

Thanks Mark, yes most of those Simply Red albums are from the MTV era, there wasn't to many people that had sky tv in the early 90s when I was a kid so never really got to see mtv, wasn't brought up with it though I used to watch beavis and butthead from uk channel 4 in the later 90's that was awesome though

He who dies with the most CDs is the winner! ….. “didn’t really go out of my way to find these, I just came across them” typical of idiots who just have to have as much as they can get, probably don’t even like the band much but it’s another CD in the collection, perhaps leave shit you don’t want for others who might actually love it, it’s just fucking dumb
@vinyldale3 жыл бұрын
If someone buying CDs from a charitable cause is enough to upset you in life, simply don't watch, like you stated "its just fucking dumb"
