When you said budget constraint then used 4 x600d :D Btw is that a commercial or like a mini web series?

So the budget constraint hits in two ways for this. One is the fact I have a fairly solid lighting package in house at Still Moving with five 600Ds, hiring in bigger fixtures would come at an extra cost, along with them probably being larger HMIs and need a larger generator to power them. Also placing them outside with 3/4 cherry pickers and permits + the extra crew to rig it…. I reckon it would have added over £10,000 to the cost 😅

@@StillMovingMedia And yet it did not disappoint! Its funny how £10,000 here; would have paid for the whole shooting crew and cast for at least 4-5 days of shoot haha

Thanks 🙏 I should probably make a video about it, I’ve used a couple of different things. For shoots Shot Designer on iPad as it’s really quick/easy to make and edit things, you can also add movements and do a basic animation for blocking etc. For the 60s videos I had been making them in davinci with filmset objects asset packs, this was good as I’m really quick in davinci but with complex setups gets a bit clunky. I then moved over to concepts app on iPad which is really good for bring in objects but not filmmaker specific. Going forwards I’m keen to just use shot designer as more of the shoots I work on are having a dedicated pre-production phase where I can scout and make lighting diagrams and in that situation having everything on set on the iPad makes most sense…. I should definitely do a video as that was quite a rambling answer 😅
